27 year old Blake A. Griffin of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for a bond forfeiture warrant in connection to a 2017 case for violating the sex offender registration act.  Bond was set at $15,000.

52 year old Jessica J. Rabideau of Kincaid was arrested on Thursday for violating an order of protection.

51 year old Jessie Lacy of Kincaid was arrested for a bond forfeiture warrant in connection to a 2019 traffic case.  Bond was set at $3,000.

25 year old Gerald A. Brown of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for a bond forfeiture warrant in connection to a 2015 case. Bond was set at $9,000.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on August 26th. A vehicle driven by 46 year old George C. Johnson of Marion was traveling westbound on County Highway #10, ½ mile east of Township Road 500 E, when an owl entered Johnson’s path. Johnson struck the animal receiving minor damage.  No injuries were reported.

TPD was called to 1121 East 1500 North Road in Taylorville for a two vehicle car crash. 47 year old Christine L. Lowe of Taylorville was traveling northbound and slowed to turn left. 24 year old Heaven M. Miller was following behind and slowed behind Lowe’s vehicle but was unable to stop in time and swerved into the shoulder to try and miss the vehicle, but collided with the rear passenger tail light. Lowe went to TMH for possible injury. Miller received a citation.

44 year old Angela M. Beard of Decatur was arrested on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper use of registration, and driving while license suspended.

41 year old Christopher R. Carnahan of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office was notified of a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. At 10:10 PM, 27 year old Nicole M. Hubbard of Nokomis reported that she had been in an accident at 1:48 that afternoon. Hubbard was traveling northbound on 1250 East Road when a deer entered the roadway near 875 North striking the rear passenger side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

61 year old Kevin R. Haines of Pana was arrested on Friday for violating an order of protection, and resisting arrest.

18 year old Trae A. Fisher of Kincaid was arrested on Friday for manufacturing/delivering cannabis.

44 year old Vivian L. Neff of Owaneco was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a traffic accident on Thursday afternoon  Andrew J. Durbin of Morrisonville was traveling eastbound on 900N just east of 1500 E road. A green tractor pulling a disc trailer was traveling westbound on 900 N. The tractor’s disc trailer crossed over the center line and made contact with Durbin’s vehicle; a semi truck belonging to Farmers supply. Causing damage to the driver’s side mirror scratching the side of Durbin’s vehicle. The tractor continued and was unable to be located.

55 year old Charles R. Williams of Strasburg was arrested on July 26th for no valid driver’s license and no valid registration after a traffic stop at the intersection of Lodge and South 1st Streets. He was transported to the detention center for processing.

29 year old Billy R. Allred of Shelbyville was arrested on July 28th for driving while license suspended and an active warrant out of Coles County after a traffic stop at the intersection of West Main Street and Lodge. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing and later posted bond.

50 year old Norah J. Legnon of Tower Hill was arrested on August 2nd for a violation of an order of protection.  He was transported to the detention center awaiting a court appearance. He later posted bond and was released.

35 year old Toby L. Collins of Windsor was arrested on August 7th for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and home invasion after deputies responded to a residence after receiving a report of a domestic in progress. He was transported to the Detention Center awaiting a court appearance.

52 year old Matthew W. Lawrence of Moweaqua was arrested on August 13th for no valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control device after a traffic crash near 1950N on 1900E involving a train and semi.  He was transported by ambulance to HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital but was later released and transported to the Detention Center for processing.

26 year old Aaron M. Watson of Lakewood was arrested on August 17th for possession of methamphetamine and issued a citation for no rear registration plate lights after a traffic stop on North 5th Street in Cowden. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing. He later posted bond and was released.

24 year old Anthony S. Evans of Iola was issued citations on August 17th for driving suspended and leaving the scene of an accident/vehicle damage after deputies were dispatched to North 1st and Pine in regards to an accident at the Stewardson Citgo.

37 year old Donald R. Minard of Tower Hill was arrested on August 18th for improper operation of an ATV or off-highway motorcycle, driving while license revoked, possession of cannabis; not more than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing.

45 year old Bobby J. Miller of Virden was arrested on Tuesday for an original arrest warrant from a 2019 case for domestic battery/bodily harm. Bond was set at $3,500.

36 year old Sara L. Redfern of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for a bond forfeiture warrant from a 2017 case related to possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $5,000.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon. 22 year old Ashley M Karaianis of Taylorville was northbound on Illinois Route 48. Witness stated that they saw Karaianis’ vehicle start to spin out near 1844 Route 48. A vehicle driven by 49 year old Shannon A. Morrison of Stonington went off the roadway on the west side to avoid the crash but Karaianis hit Morrison’s vehicle. Karaianis refused treatment at the scene and Morrison was taken to Springfield Memorial Medical Center. Karaianis received a citation for failure to reduce speed.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon near 2590 E 100 North Road. Pana Ambulance had already transported the driver, 41 year old Sean R. Moore of Decatur to Pana Community Hospital. The vehicle had been traveling eastbound when Moore lost control left the roadway and struck a ditch embankment causing the vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its roof in a cornfield.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday morning. 22 year old George L. Rever of Pana was northbound on Pana Township Road 2200 East. Just north of Township Road 250 North, Rever stated he was distracted from inside the vehicle with something related to the windshield wipers. Rever drove off the road to the right for approximately160 feet, overcorrected and came back across the roadway and into the left ditch. The vehicle overturned coming to rest on its top. While Rever didn’t appear to be injured, he stated he was going to get checked out at the local hospital.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Sunday evening. On Sunday evening at 11:13 Joe E. Boils of Taylorville was on Spresser Street and was trying to turn North onto Webster. Boils stated that he had the green light but not the green arrow. Alexis L. Miller of Kincaid was headed westbound on Park Street and had the green light. Due to Boils failing to yield turning left, Miller struck Boils in the intersection. Boils had damage to the front passenger side and was towed, Miller had front end damage and was towed as well. Boils was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident on Thursday morning. 29 year old Troy A. Donaldson Jr. of Blue Mound was headed eastbound on County Highway 2. At 1650 East the driver swerved to miss a deer and entered the north ditch striking a culvert. The vehicle overturned and came to rest facing west in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Thursday morning. 61 year old Peggy S. Brown of Taylorville was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48. Brown hit a deer at approximately 1055 N Road. No injuries were reported.

46 year old Cheri L. Cott of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for retail theft. 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to an accident on the afternoon of August 9th. 88 year old Joann D. Garner and 44 year old Joshua K. Miller were heading westbound on the 900 block of West Springfield Road. Miller was in front of Garner. Miller stopped because of a red light. Garner struck the back of Miller’s vehicle causing major damage to his vehicle and her vehicle as well. Garner received a citation for failure to reduce speed. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Sunday morning. 37 year old Daphne D. Wiley of Shelbyville was traveling east on 250 North around 2659 East.  The vehicle started down the hill and went into a skid driving into the ditch.  Once in the ditch, the vehicle crashed into a culvert going over the culvert and coming to a stop on the south side of the road. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. 19 year old Codee T. Blazier of Decatur was headed westbound on May Township Road 1700 North. ½ mile east of Township Road 1500 East, Blazier drove the vehicle off the road to the left, then turned right and came across the roadway, overcorrecting and beginning to spin overturning several times in the south ditch, coming to rest on its top. No injuries were reported.

Taylorville Police are investigating a Saturday death.

Police tell Regional Radio News that they were called to the 700 block of East Cleveland on Saturday afternoon at 5:29.  They found 45-year-old Daniel N. Fallin of Taylorville, with a gunshot wound to the chest. Fallin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police add that preliminary results of the investigation are consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, as the cause of death.

Taylorville Police are being assisted in the investgation by the Christian County Coroner's Office.

27 year old Alexandra L. Wood of Auburn was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from a 2018 case stemming from theft. Her bond was set at $55,000.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of July 23rd. 31 year old Oriana M. Passini of Pawnee was traveling north on 675 East Road and approaching the T intersection at 900 North Road.  Passini failed to slow down to make the turn and continued north through the intersection hitting a utility pole and driving into a bean field before correcting and ending up on the shoulder of the road on 900 North. The vehicle was towed and no injuries were reported, but Morrisonville Ambulance responded to the crash.

29 year old Tylour S. Howard of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for a warrant stemming from a 2016 driving under the influence case.  Bond was set at $2,000.

27 year old Cassandra M. Talbot of Riverton was arrested on Wednesday for 2 counts of theft.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon on County Highway #10. Grant W. Jones of Raymond was traveling northbound on a grassy/gravel private drive approaching county highway #10. After Jones passed the residence at 1022 E., he proceeded to pull onto the roadway to turn left. Brent E. Wallace of Herrick, stated he saw Jones pull out from the drive applied his brakes and attempted to maneuver to the left to avoid hitting Jones. Wallace struck Jones in the westbound lane of the roadway. Due to the impact Jones proceeded into the north ditch, while Wallace ended up in the north field lane and came to rest in a planted bean field. Jones was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. Wallace wasn’t injured in the accident.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday evening. Jesse A. Daniels of Taylorville struck a cow on 200 East just south of 200 North Unit 1. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

46 year old George T. Bailey of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for battery.

33 year old Jesse C. Workman of Kincaid was arrested on Monday in connection to a 2015 warrant related to operating an uninsured motor vehicle and causing bodily harm. Bond was set at $5,000.

31 year old Nicholas L. Stanley of Morrisonville was arrested on Tuesday for a bond violation.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident the afternoon of July 29th. 22 year old Josie L. Foster of Nokomis lost control of the vehicle on Illinois Route 16 near 2675 East. Foster overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle before striking a guardrail.  No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Sunday evening. 33 year old Jordan R. Adams of Mechanicsburg was headed north on County Highway 23 near 2635 North when the vehicle struck a deer.  No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday evening. 26 year old Brock M. Eckert of Assumption was traveling south on 2700 East Road. Near 905 North, Eckert entered a ditch and overturned with the vehicle coming to rest on its roof. No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of July 5th. 49 year old Lisa A. Sexton of Taylorville was stopped at the intersection of Route 29 and Route 104. 22 year old Daylan A. Jenkins of Mount Auburn hit the back of Sexton’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of July 30th. 79 year old Sondra S. Hastings of Taylorville was traveling westbound on the 400 block of West Springfield Road. A vehicle stopped in front of Hasting’s vehicle so Hastings slowed down.  Hastings was rear ended by 17 year old Tucker J. Hamm. Both Hamm and Hasting’s vehicle received damage. Hamm was given a citation for failure to reduce speed.  No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a hit and run accident at 401 West Spresser Street in Taylorville. Stephen L. Pearson of Taylorville noticed damage to his vehicle. The vehicle had been parked at the McDonald’s parking lot for about 4 hours. The vehicle received minor damage. Taylorville Police is still investigating.

44 year old Jason W. Bland of Pana was arrested on Friday for possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and retail theft.

34 year old Ralph J. Smith of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for violating a bond requirement.

33 year old Jonathan N. Daniel of Springfield was arrested on Sunday for battery and violating an order of protection.

41 year old Christopher L. Lush of Edinburg was arrested on Friday on a 2019 warrant related to a Cruelty to Animals charge.  Bond was set at $10,000. 

34 year old Sterling Thomas of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for burglary.

52 year old Manuel Rios of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for burglary.

27 year old Carly Ager of Decatur was arrested on Saturday on a 2019 warrant related to violating an order of protection charge. Bond was set at $5000.

21 year old Logan M. Beck of Tower Hill was arrested on Saturday on a 2018 warrant related to possession of methamphetamine. He was also arrested for possessing cannabis between 100-500 grams and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $25,000.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening near 1930 E 200 North Road near Pana for a one vehicle accident.  21 year old Lindsey N. Handegan of Taylorville had been traveling southwest approaching a curve and was unable to navigate the turn proceeding through a ditch and coming to rest on the railroad tracks. The  Sherriff’s office contacted Union Pacific to shut the track down. Handegan was taken to Pana Community Hospital with minor injuries. There was damage to the train tracks and Handegan’s vehicle was towed away.

42 year old Sean Murphy of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for driving under the influence and driving revoked.

34 year old Ralph J. Smith of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for violation of bail bond.

29 year old Shawn Mcneil of Stonington was arrested for driving suspended.

27 year old Carly Ager of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County Warrant.

44 year old Jason W. Bland of Pana was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and attempted retail theft.

56 year old Lisa Fritz of Jacksonville was arrested on Friday for a McLean County warrant.

27 year old Steven Kious of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for no valid driver's license and improper use of registration.

34-year-old Megan M. Klespitz of Pana was arrested on Wednesday for a warrant stemming from a 2017 charge.  Bond was set at $5,000.

32-year-old Matthew T. Norris of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for a warrant stemming from a 2017 charge. Bond was set at $5,000.

24-year-old Brianna N. Caldwell of Morrisonville was arrested on Wednesday for theft. 

22-year-old Megan N. Middleton of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for a warrant stemming from a 2019 charge.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday evening. 19-year-old Skylar L. Rider of Taylorville was involved in a crash at 1257 North 1025 East Road in Taylorville. Rider was traveling eastbound on 1250 North Road approaching a curve and failed to make the turn driving off the road into a ditch. The vehicle stopped in a bean field 50 yards east of 1025 East Road. The vehicle had the driver and two passengers. The back seat passenger was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital with injuries.  The vehicle was towed.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a hit and run accident on Friday afternoon near 906 Springfield Road. 21-year-old Brittany A. Pinkerton of Pana was stopped in traffic when a vehicle rear-ended her. Pinkerton pulled into a parking lot to exchange information and the other vehicle sped off.  The Taylorville Police Department is investigating.
