7/22/22 -  Christina L. Waterman, age 52, of Taylorville was arrested for DUI. 

7/23/22 - Kylee E. Mathes forgery, age 35, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled substance.

7/24/22 - Rhonda L. Ondrey, age 58, of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery and Aggravated Battery to Police.

7/25/22 - Juan C. Starks, age 32, of Springfield was arrested for Retail Theft.

7/25/22 - Randall C. Smith, age 51, of Taylorville was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Property.

07-23-22 Daniel Norton, age 38, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO for domestic battery.

07-23-22 Teagan Wicks, age 25,  of Kincaid was arrested by CCSO for DUI.

07-24-22 Tyler Engelhart, age 27, of Pana was arrested by Pana PD on a FTA warrant for burglary.

07-24-22 Adam Lowis, age 41, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO for domestic battery.

07-25-22 Robert Mitchell, age 29, of Pana was arrested by CCSO for DUI.

07-25-22 Juan Starks, age 32,  was arrested by Kincaid PD for theft.

Crashes

7-24-22 Scott Montgomery was driving a semi truck and trailer, traveling westbound on Chestnut St. He attempted to make a right turn onto 600 E. Rd/County Hwy 5. Trailer tires of the semi struck a concrete barrier at the North East corner of this intersection. One tire of the semi came completely off the rim and the interior tire was cut. The rim and/or other part of the trailer appears to have damaged a culvert, located adjacent to the concrete barrier. The semi was towed by the company.

07-14-22 Tyra Shull, age 20, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant for illegal consumption.

07-13-22 Jared Potrafka was negotiating the curve on 1250 E. at 1800 N. Rd. in Taylorville township when a deer jumped out over the hood of his vehicle causing him to lose control of his vehicle. Potrafka went off the roadway and flipped over. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

07-12-22 Cody Eller, age 30, of Jacksonville was arrested by CCSO for armed robbery with a firearm.

07-12-22 Orville Harris was traveling northbound on IL Route 48 approximately one mile north of township road 1700 North when a deer entered the roadway. Harris was unable to avoid striking the animal. No tow. No injuries.

07-07-22 Jacob Coonrod, age 33, of Morrisonville was arrested by CCSO for domestic battery.

Crashes

07-05-22 Nickolas Todd and Lennard Strumpfer were involved in a traffic crash in Taylorville. Strumpfer was traveling east on Main Cross St. at the intersection of Main Cross and Powers St. Todd did not see Strumpfer and struck the vehicle in the passenger rear side. Strumpfer’s vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.

07-04-22 William Maulding was traveling southbound on County Highway 13 approaching the T-intersection with County Highway 2. Maulding failed to stop and exited the roadway into the south ditch. Maulding struck two traffic signs and continued traveling south into a planted bean field. He then did an U-turn and entered another bean field. Maulding attempted to get back on the roadway but became hung up in the south ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Maulding was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

07-06-2022 - Sheila J. Albright, age 59, of Taylorville was arrested for Criminal Trespassing.

07-07-2022 - Linda D. Stevens, age 52, of Taylorville was arrested for Aggravated Assault.

07-07-2022 - Madison L. Miller, age 25, of Taylorville was arrested for DUI.

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

07-02-22 Bayli Copeland, age 23, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO for aggravated battery on a peace officer.

07-02-22 Daniel Osborn was traveling southbound on 1025 East in Taylorville township when he attempted to turn left onto 1350 North Road and skidded through the intersection and hit the ditch on the south side of 1350 North Road. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

06-25-22 Diamond Nicholson was involved in a traffic accident in King township on Route 48. Diamond was traveling northeast on IL Route 48 just north of 300 N. Road when the vehicle crossed over the centerline and over corrected causing the vehicle to lose control. Nicholson left the roadway and continued through a ditch causing front end damage to the vehicle. The driver and the passenger stated there was a deer standing in the roadway. Nicholson swerved to avoid hitting the deer. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

06-29-22 Tyler Kapper and Anthony Donaldson were involved in a traffic crash in Assumption township. Kapper was northbound on 2500 E approaching 1300 N. Donaldson  was on 1300 N traveling westbound. The intersection is unmarked and the corn was up approximately 3 feet. Donaldson was crossing through the intersection and was struck by Kapper. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Donaldson was taken to the hospital.

7/03/22

Bayli Copeland, age 23, of Taylorville was arrested on July 3rd for 3 counts of Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer.

Stephen A. Wendling, age 37, of Taylorville was arrested on July 3rd for Driving While License Suspended.

Justin L. Moma, age 40, of Taylorville was arrested on July 3rd on a Warrant.

Zachary R. Newberry, age 35, of Taylorville was arrested on July 3rd on a Warrant.
