The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

35 year old Alisha N. Manion of Pana was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge for driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $6,000.

 

41 year old Nicholas A. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 contempt of court charge. Bond was set at $170.

 

37 year old Amy Merrifield of Decatur was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $200,000.

Area Arrests And Accidents 11/26/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

25 year old Gerald A. Brown of Taylorville was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2015 charge of DUI. Bond was set at $7500.

 

On Monday evening the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 47 year old Laura L. Cummins of Taylorville struck a deer at 1700 N Road and 900 E Road.

 

On Monday evening the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 44 year old Richard M. Gerlick of Taylorville struck a deer at 1025 E Road and 1281 N Road. 

 

On Monday afternoon the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 20 year old Ryan J. Harmon of Pleasant Plains Illinois struck a deer near 199 Illinois Route 104.

50 year old Bradley K. Spent of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for aggravated battery/great bodily harm.

 

39 year old Jennifer M. Silvia of Pana was arrested on Sunday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge of driving while suspended/revoked. Bond was set at $2500.

 

39 year old Desiree D. Galloway of Decatur was arrested on Saturday on an original arrest warrant for a 2018 charge for bad checks. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

40 year old Velory R. French of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for domestic battery and a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of criminal trespass to vehicles.

 

49 year old Ann  L. Stafford of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant from a 2015 DUI case. 

 

35 year old Jerry W. Riggs of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant from a 2019 domestic battery case. 

 

On Friday around 5:27 PM, a vehicle driven by 62 year old David A. Jackson of Clinton had been traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 16 at approximately 2150 East, struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

Area Arrests And Accidents 11/22/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

On Wednesday evening, the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 29 at 600 North Road in Pana. Upon arrival, they found that 21 year old Kade H. Jones of Herrick had been traveling southeast on Illinois Route 29 and 60 year old Adem Ademi of Taylorville was traveling northwest on Route 29. While approaching Ademi’s vehicle, Jones crossed over the center line colliding with Ademi. Ademi was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via personal vehicle with injuries. Jones refused treatment. 

 

24 year old Devin R. Stockdale of Tovey was arrested on Thursday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

19 year old Mario O. Dickson of St. Louis, Missouri was arrested on Thursday for theft and retail theft.

 

19 year old Marvin L. Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri was arrested on Thursday for theft and retail theft.

 

33 year old Cierra S. Little of St. Louis, Missouri was arrested on Thursday for theft and retail theft.

A 16 year old male was arrested on Thursday for aggravated discharge of a firearm.

 

33 year old Cierra S. Little of St. Louis was charged on Thursday with retail theft and possession of stolen merchandise.

 

19 year old Marvin L. Bailey of St. Louis was charged on Thursday with retail theft and possession of stolen merchandise.

 

19 year old Mario O. Dickson of St. Louis was charged on Thursday with retail theft and possession of stolen merchandise.

 

21 year old Michaela L. Herpstreith of Taylorville was arrested and transported to TPD to be processed and released on a notice to appear for retail theft.

 

38 year old Matthew Konneker of Taylorville was arrested on a Macoupin County Warrant.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. 37 year old Ashley K. Rahar of Taylorville was backing out of a residential driveway at 505 South Clay Street. Rahar saw 48 year old Ryan D. Curtis of Taylorville traveling northbound a block and a half away. Rahar backed into the roadway to head north on Clay Street. Rahar stopped to put the vehicle in drive and Curtis was behind Rahar, honking its horn. Rahar was startled by the honking and waited to move forward. Curtis pulled along the passenger side of Rahar to go around when Rahar began to drive forward and both vehicles struck. No injuries were reported.

35-year-old Melissa R. Maxwell of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for an original arrest warrant from a 2017 case. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

26-year-old Freida M. McCauley of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 case. Bond was set at 5,000.

 

43-year-old Charles W. Baker of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a contempt of court charge. Bond was set at $500.

 

29-year-old Brent L. Musser of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge. Bond was set at $20,000.

 

36-year-old Ashley N. Bain of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported that on November 20th a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Brittany M. Cloe of Pana was traveling northbound on Township Road 2500 E and was approaching the intersection with Township Road 330 N. The driver of Unit 1 stated she looked down, inside her vehicle for something, and went off the right shoulder of the roadway. Once off the shoulder, the vehicle proceeded northbound in the east ditch and struck the ditch embankment at the intersection. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

61 year old Michael H. Nation of Kincaid stated that he was northbound on County 5 on November 17th at approximately 850 N and Christian County Highway 5 when a large deer ran in the front driver side of his vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

39 year old Leanna M. Grissom of Pana was arrested on Wednesday for domestic battery.

 

37 year old Derick W. Davis of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge for criminal damage. No bond was listed.

 

37 year old Brandy S. Allen of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2016 charge. No bond was listed.

 

55 year old Marty Crain of Kincaid was arrested on Tuesday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $1500.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Thursday morning 50-year-old Edward J. Dodwell of Decatur and 26-year-old Wesley J. Moore of Aledo were traveling east and west on Township Road 2300 N. The vehicles touched each other’s mirrors on their trucks damaging the mirror on Moore’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

52-year-old Troy S. Sims reported to the Sheriff’s Office that he hit a deer on Thursday evening on Route 29 3/10 of a mile north of 800 North Road. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. 36-year-old Michael A. Altervogt of Auburn was traveling northeast on Illinois Route 48 when he hit a patch of ice on the roadway at 1700 East Road. Altervogt then lost control of the semi-truck and trailer leaving the roadway to the right. The vehicle then hit a culvert that is under 1700 East Road. The driver reported no injuries.

35-year-old Jacob L. Kirchhoff of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and endangering the welfare of a minor.

 

30-year-old Samantha J. Abbott of Taylorville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and endangering the welfare of a minor.

28 year old Marciano Williams of Kincaid was arrested on Wednesday for criminal trespassing to land.

34 year old Cameron G. Dickey of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a  2019 charge. Bond was set at $3,500.

54 year old Joseph M. Holding was issued a city ordinance violation on Thursday for disorderly conduct regarding a loud music complaint.

 

34 year old Cameron G. Dickey of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a Christian County Warrant.

 

18 year old Chloe M. Reed of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for domestic battery. 

Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 11/12/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

On Monday afternoon, Taylor W. Macdonald of Harvel was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48, 3/10 of a mile south of Clarksdale. Ronald J. Wright of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 48 and was approximately a quarter of a mile south of Clarksdale. Macdonald stated she was approaching the car in front of her and applied her brakes to slow down. After applying her brakes, she lost control on the icy/snow-covered roadway, crossed the center line, and struck Wright’s vehicle. The impact caused Macdonald to spin counter-clockwise and come to rest on the east side shoulder facing south. After impact, Macdonald came to rest in the west ditch, facing southeast. Both vehicles received major damage, both Macdonald and her passenger were transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for possible injuries.

 

On October 26th, Bethany L. Morse of Moweaqua was westbound on County Highway 4. At the intersection of 2225 East Road, Morse failed to negotiate a right turn curve continuing straight and left the roadway striking the ditch embankment. The vehicle received front end damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

On November 7th, Scott H. Humble of Clinton stated he was north bound on US Highway 51 Humble stated a deer ran into the side of his vehicle causing the side airbags to deploy. No injuries were reported.

 

Dennis D Braeuninger of Pawnee was westbound on Township Road 1350 N on the evening of November 7th. Braeuninger stated that he was ¼ mile west of County Road 5 and stated that a deer ran into the side of his truck. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident the evening of November 7th. Sherri R. Fry reporting hitting a deer around 1550 east on 350 North Road. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of November 8th. Mckenzie R. Sneed of Taylorville reported hitting a coyote northwest on IL Route 29 at approximately 1749 N. Driver. Taylorville Fire Department was called out due to fluids leaking from the bottom of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of November 9th on 2000 North Road (County 4). The driver, a minor from Moweaqua turned southbound on 2225 East Road sliding off the east side of the roadway over correcting and hitting the ditch on the west side of the roadway, hitting a county highway/no passing zone sign. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of November 9th. A minor from Assumption was traveling westbound on 600 North Road at approximately 2650 E, the driver lost control skidding from the north side to the south side, overcorrecting and hitting the ditch before overturning onto the passenger side of the vehicle at the ditch bank where it came to a stop. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. Vanessa I. Patkus of Nokomis was traveling southbound on 1250 East Road. Approximately 500 feet south of 300 North Road, tried slowing down driving off the west side of the roadway, going through a deep ditch and striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle collision on Illinois Route 16 and 2700 East Road. Ethan W. Foster of Pana collided with Jeffery P. Tonn of Watson. No injuries were reported.

 

44 year old Steven E. Maxvill of Springfield was arrested on Friday on a 2nd driving, revoked/suspended charge. Bond was set by the court at $10,000. 


38 year old Veronica A. Sroczynski of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge for contempt of court. Bond was set at $800.

 

29 year old Jeremy R. Masters of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

19 year old Brittany L. Jones of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for battery, aggravated battery, and criminal damage to state property. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Holly J. Layton of Taylorville of Taylorville reported that on the evening of November 9th she struck a deer on Illinois Route 29 just north of the intersection of Kennedy Road. No injuries were reported.

18 year old Ryleigh L. Hurley of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Rachel L. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Felicity N. Knott of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Trevor A. Scott of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

46 year old Tammi G. Brown of Kincaid was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle with suspended registration. 

 

29 year old Amanda S. Coghlan of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended.

 

22 year old Austin L. Mayes of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for disorderly conduct.

 

19 year old Brittany L. Jones of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for criminal damage to state supported property, aggravated battery, and battery.

 

29 year old Jeremy Masters of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County Warrant.

 

30 year old Lacey M. Myers of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended.

38 year old Joseph C. Sklenka of Springfield was arrested on Thursday on an original arrest warrant for a 2018 possession of methamphetamine charge. Bond was set at $25,000.

29 year old Joshua C. Wells of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for driving while license suspended. 
 

Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 11/7/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

35-year old Brian M. Hays of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine.

 

41-year old Robert G. Wangen of Taylorville was driving westbound on Illinois Route 104 on Wednesday morning. A deer was standing in the middle of the road, and the driver reduced speed to avoid the deer veering off of the right side shoulder. The deer ran into the side of Wangen’s vehicle causing damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver notified the Christian County Sheriff’s Office of the accident. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

On October 27th a vehicle was parked and unoccupied, facing northbound, just southeast of the Henrietta Avenue and West Adams Street intersection. An unknown vehicle struck the rear driver’s side bumper of the parked vehicle and left the scene of the accident. The vehicle that was hit belonged to an Amber M. Bone of Taylorville. Police are still investigating the accident.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Washington and Vine on October 24th. 34-year-old Crystal L. Johnson of Taylorville stated to Police she was being followed by 25-year-old Martina I. Lyles of Taylorville through town. She pulled over and Lyles drove up beside her striking the front driver corner. Lyles than drove away from the scene. No reports of injuries. Lyles was later found and given 3 citations, improper lane usage, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.

 

The Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of October 29th.  23-year-old Jack A. Fulk of Stonington was traveling southbound on Webster Street. Fulk lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway and up onto the boulevard in front of Walgreens. Fulk struck a signpost and then flipped over on its top landing on the boulevard and roadway. The vehicle had to be towed.  Fulk was taken by Dunn’s Ambulance to St. John’s Hospital. Fulk received a citation.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday evening. 78-year-old Patsy L. Handy was westbound on Route 29 when a large buck jumped into the path of Handy. Handy was unable to avoid hitting the deer. No injuries were reported.

 

35-year-old Brian M. Hays of Taylorville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine under 5 grams.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

23 year old Jesse J. Keller of Pana was arrested on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

 

30 year old Erica L. Wessling of Taylorville was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant from a 2019 charge for theft.  Bond was set at $10,000.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Tuesday evening. 46 year old Terrence J. Moeller of West Point, Iowa was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 29 ½ mile south of 1800 North Road. Moeller hit a deer and the vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle had significant damage. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on the evening of November 3rd. 40 year old Keri L. Cooper of Taylorville was traveling west on 1450 North Road and hit a deer at approximately 1080 East. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

A juvenile from Rosamond was arrested on Tuesday for disorderly conduct threat of force at a school, aggravated battery, and resisting arrest.

 

A juvenile was also arrested on Tuesday in Taylorville for retail theft. 
 

Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 11/5/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a vehicle accident on the morning of October 26th. 28-year-old Justin L. Witty of Kincaid reported that he hit a deer at 600 E Road near 1800 N Road. No injuries were reported. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on October 25th at 6:25 AM. 43 year old Thomas L. Fitzpatrick of Pana was northbound on County Road 2225 East. As Fitzpatrick approached the intersection of 2100 North Road, he failed to reduce speed and drove through the intersection. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a road sign and a utility pole support wire. When Fitzpatrick struck the support wire the impact broke three utility poles to the south of the intersection.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a vehicle accident on E 500 North Road. 31 year old Robert H. Wolfe of Morrisonville was eastbound on County Road 10 and stated that as soon as he went through the bridge east of Morrisonville, a deer ran into the roadway and he was unable to avoid hitting it. 

 

33 year old Gregory A. Jones of Nokomis was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 possession of methamphetamine charge from 2017. Bond was set at $15,000.

 

44 year old Erin L. Evans of Nokomis was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of obstructing identification. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

23 year old Brett S. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2012 contempt of court charge. Bond was set at $100. 

 

35 year old Jerald A. Buerk of Pana was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a  2017 charge for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.  Bond was set at $500,000. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on October 26th. 84 year old Marilyn Y. Fisher of Taylorville proceeded to make a left turn from a stop sign, and head north on Webster Street from West John Street. A vehicle driven by 50 year old Diana L Bravi of Taylorville was headed down Webster and struck Fisher’s vehicle.  Fisher was given a citation. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on October 30th.44 year old Tamithy R. Kater of Stonington was stopped in traffic and reached down to retrieve a key she dropped on the floorboard. The vehicle rolled forward and hit 18 year old Tommy R. Mollet Jr of Owanaco which caused that vehicle to roll forward striking 67 year old Richard E. Schoonover. All three vehicles were damaged. No injuries were reported. Kater received a citation. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash on November 1st. 30 year old Cassandra M. Peat of Tovey was westbound on Wilson. 11/01 Tyler L. Foster of Kincaid was eastbound on Wilson looking to turn left onto Washington. Foster failed to yield causing Peat to strike Foster. No injuries were reported. Foster received a citation.

 

50 year old Jeffery S. Boggs was arrested on Monday for driving suspended and driving suspended license plates. He was released and given a notice to appear.

 

61 year old William E. Dixon of Taylorville was arrested on a warrant.

 

30 year old Elizabeth Myers of Taylorville was arrested for driving suspended.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening. 23 year old Colton R. Wilderman of Taylorville was traveling southbound on township Road 1400 E and ¼ mile north of Township Road 800 N struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

 

26 year old Christopher J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for possession of methamphetamine and meth delivery.

 

37 year old John A. Dobyns of Granite City was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 driving on suspended license charge. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

21 year old Gerald J. Powyszynski of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $15,000.

 

32 year old Danielle C. Shindelar of Sullivan was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 possession of methamphetamine charge. Bond was set at $7,500. 

 

43 year old David A. Handlin of Kincaid was arrested on Sunday for an original arrest warrant for 2013 contempt of court charge and a current domestic battery charge.

 

18 year old Louis E. Sullivan of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for driving on suspended license. Bond was set at $3,500. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

37 year old John A. Dobyns was arrested on Saturday on a Montgomery County Warrant.

 

26 year old Christopher J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

 

A 16 year old juvenile was arrested on a warrant on Sunday.
 

Shelby County Arrests--October

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

45 year old Michelle A. Eskew of Findlay was arrested on October 9th on an active Moultrie County Warrant, possession of methamphetamine under 5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

41 year old Dax A. Baldrige of St. Elmo was arrested on October 15th for driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and a citation for possession of cannabis and operating a vehicle with expired registration plates or sticker.

 

47 year old Chad A. White of La Place was arrested on October 27th for driving while license revoked. 

Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 11/1/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

20 year old Marissa P. Shoraga of Macon was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge for driving with license revoked/suspended. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

44 year old Brian K. Sisk of Ramsey was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge for possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $15,000.

 

33 year old Allison M. Grothhaus of Springfield was arrested on Thursday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge of theft. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

25 year old Brandon L. Campbell of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a theft charge.  He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond. 

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There was 1 personal assistance call between 9 on Thursday morning and 9 on Friday morning
