Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 8/6/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

46 year old George T. Bailey of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for battery.

 

33 year old Jesse C. Workman of Kincaid was arrested on Monday in connection to a 2015 warrant related to operating an uninsured motor vehicle and causing bodily harm. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

31 year old Nicholas L. Stanley of Morrisonville was arrested on Tuesday for a bond violation.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident the afternoon of July 29th. 22 year old Josie L. Foster of Nokomis lost control of the vehicle on Illinois Route 16 near 2675 East. Foster overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle before striking a guardrail.  No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Sunday evening. 33 year old Jordan R. Adams of Mechanicsburg was headed north on County Highway 23 near 2635 North when the vehicle struck a deer.  No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday evening. 26 year old Brock M. Eckert of Assumption was traveling south on 2700 East Road. Near 905 North, Eckert entered a ditch and overturned with the vehicle coming to rest on its roof. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of July 5th. 49 year old Lisa A. Sexton of Taylorville was stopped at the intersection of Route 29 and Route 104. 22 year old Daylan A. Jenkins of Mount Auburn hit the back of Sexton’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of July 30th. 79 year old Sondra S. Hastings of Taylorville was traveling westbound on the 400 block of West Springfield Road. A vehicle stopped in front of Hasting’s vehicle so Hastings slowed down.  Hastings was rear ended by 17 year old Tucker J. Hamm. Both Hamm and Hasting’s vehicle received damage. Hamm was given a citation for failure to reduce speed.  No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a hit and run accident at 401 West Spresser Street in Taylorville. Stephen L. Pearson of Taylorville noticed damage to his vehicle. The vehicle had been parked at the McDonald’s parking lot for about 4 hours. The vehicle received minor damage. Taylorville Police is still investigating.

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Taylorville Fire Department responded to 2 fire calls, and one EMS call between 9 on Monday morning and 9 on Tuesday morning.
