47 year old Jefferson Lawrence of Adrian, Michigan was arrested on Thursday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

46 year old Larry Skinner of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a charge of a methamphetamine delivery.

16 year old Nicholas Orr of Taylorville, and 53 year old Jeffrey Likes of Taylorville were in an accident on September 26th at 7:29 in the morning. Likes was traveling east on Bidwell Street and was nearing the intersection of Bidwell and Pawnee Streets according to the accident report. Orr was leaving Pawnee Street and did not see Likes. Orr pulled into the intersection and hit Like’s vehicle. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

46 year old Melissa Krouse of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a Sangamon County Warrant.

Sean King of was arrested on Saturday on a charge of driving on a suspended license. He was transported to TPD where he was cited and released.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Monday:

43 year old Jody Grove of Taylorville was in an accident on September 22nd at 2:30 in the morning. According to the accident report, Grove was eastbound on Route 104 at approximately 794 east when she struck a deer in the roadway.

36 year old Elizabeth Coatney of Nokomis was in an accident on September 21st at 11:20 in the morning. According to the accident report, Coatney was traveling southbound on County Highway 1. Coatney stated that something went wrong in the front end of her vehicle and it jerked her to the right. Coatney exited the roadway and traveled approximately 60 feet before coming upon a gravel field lane entrance. Coatney proceeded over the field lane and struck the west embankment of the ditch. Coatney overturned upon striking the embankment and came to rest on its wheel facing west. Coatney’s vehicle was totaled, and Coatney was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

32 year old Frank Sedlock of Bulpitt and 72 year old Grace Meadows of Kincaid were in an accident on September 16th at 7:04 in the evening. According to the accident report, Sedlock was driving a motorcycle and pulled out onto County Highway 5 at 1800 North Road. The motorcycle pulled out infront of a minivan traveling south bound on County Highway 5. The minivan struck the right side of the motorcycle with its front bumper. The motorcycle and minivan both came to a rest on the south west side of the intersection. Sedlock was thrown from the motorcycle into the field on the south west side of the intersection. Passenger Kenny Sedlock was also thrown into the field on the south west side of the intersection.

41 year old Abraham Poland of Corpuschristi, Texas was arrested on Monday on a charge of resisting an officer.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News on Monday:

37 year old Kirk Kettelkamp of Taylorville, and 20 year old Thomas Painter of Taylorville were in an accident on September 20th at approximately 7:27 in the evening. According to the accident report, Kettelkamp was traveling eastbound on East Main Cross Street. Painter was traveling southbound on South Cherokee Street. Kettelkamp was stopped in traffic because of the stop sign at the intersection. Painter proceeded to travel southbound in the intersection of East Main Cross Street and South Cherokee Street. Kettelkamp did not see Painter in the intersection, and began to proceed forward. Painter received damage to the front wheel and frame of the pedalcycle. Kettelkamp received damage to the drivers side of the vehicle. Painter received a leg injury from the collision but refused medical assistance. Painter said that he would go to Taylorville Memorial Hospital at a later time to be evaluated.

27 year old Harrison King of Springfield was arrested on Thursday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Friday:

18 year old Alyssa Weakley of Springfield was in an accident on September 19th at 2:06 in the morning. Weakly was traveling southwest on Illinois Route 48 near the intersection of South Spresser when two deer ran into the roadway according to the accident report. Weakly stated that she slowed down, but was not able to avoid striking one of the deer. Weakley  had damage to the front end of her vehicle, but was able to drive away from the scene and denied any injury.

54 year old Jeffrey Crowder of Kincaid  was in an accident on September 20th at 6:17 in the morning. Crowder was traveling east in the 2700 block of Lincoln Trail on his 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a deer entered the roadway according to the accident report. Crowder struck the deer and he was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle received front end damage and stopped on the south side of the roadway, resting on his right side. Crowder was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by a Suttons ambulance.

45 year old Darren DeBrun of Taylorville, and 63 year old Robert Noblet of Taylorville were in an accident on September 16th at 5:23 in the afternoon. DeBrun and Noblet were both traveling eastbound on West Spresser Street according to the accident report. DeBrun stopped in traffic because the traffic light had turned red at the intersection of North Cheney Street and West Spresser Street. DeBrun had failed to stop behind Noblet and struct Noblet’s rear bumper. DeBrun received damage to the front bumper of his vehicle and was given a citation for driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident, and a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol.

17 Year old Saide Keller of Pana, and 20 year old Jenna Tolberd were in an accident on September 15th at 9:09 in the evening. Keller was traveling East on 100 North Road. Tolberd was traveling north on 220 East Road. A corn field was blocking the view of both drivers on the southwest corner. According to the accident report, it was an unmarked intersection. Keller attempted to brake and avoid hitting Tolberd, but Tolberd never saw Keller until impact. The collision caused Tolberd to flip over on top. Keller was sent to the hospital in a Pana ambulance, and Tolberd went to Pana Community hospital.

17 year old Grace Mann of Owaneco, and 46 year old Christa Sharer of Taylorville were in an accident on September 17th at 5:21 in the afternoon. Mann and Sharer were both traveling eastbound on East Park Street near Main street according to the police report. Sharer came to a stop in traffic between main street and walnut street. Mann looked down at her radio, and when she looked back up she was too close to avoid collision and struck the rear end of Sharer’s vehicle. The collision caused major damage to the front of Mann’s vehicle and minor damage to the back of Sharer’s vehicle. Both units were able to drive away from the scene.

32 year old Kristal Hanes of Taylorville, and 59 year old Barbara Harless of Springfield were in an accident on September 15th at 3:22 in the afternoon. Harless was heading west on Park street and Hanes was stopped at the intersection of Main Street and Park Street according to the accident report. Hanes proceed north through the intersection, and Harless struck the side of Hanes near the rear. Harless was towed from the scene, and Hanes was issued a citation for failure to yield at intersection.

Davis lost control in the curve and went off the roadway. Davis skidded in the grass ditch causing damage to the front and rear bumper.

32 year old Matthew Hawk of Edinburg was in an accident on September 6th at 6:12 in the morning. Hawk was traveling on East county highway 2 at 1250 east. A deer entered the roadway and Hawk hit the deer, but was able to drive away from the scene.

27 year old Wesley Chrisman of Le Roy was in an accident on September 13th at 6 in the morning. Chrisman was traveling North on IL Route 29. Chrisman pulled out to pass an uninvolved unit and did not see the unit ahead of him. As Chrisman was making the pass, another unit was making a legal left turn. Chrisman drove off the road avoiding contact and struck a stone pillar off the road. The airbags deployed and Chrisman had major damage to his vehicle. No one was injured and Chrisman’s truck was towed from the scene.

37 year old Shannon Tally of Mulberry Grove was arrested on Thursday on a charge of Driving on a suspended license, no valid registration, and fleeing the police.

25 year old Kathleen Decarlo of Champaign was in an accident on September 11th. Decarlo was traveling southbound on 300 East Road. She stated that she had lost control of the vehicle when she drove over loose gravel on the roadway. Decarlo went off the roadway at approximately 1373 North and hit the ditch with the front of the vehicle. Decarlo had damage to the front end, sides, and rear tires. Decarlo was driven to her hospital by her friend, and was issued a citation for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

According to the accident report, Brooken was traveling westbound on Park Street, near the intersection with Cheyenne Street. Brooken stopped for traffic, Weikle stopped as well. Dyer was traveling behind Weikle, and did not stop in time. Dyer struck the back of Weikle causing Weikle to hit Brooken. Dyer’s car had to be towed from the scene.

Hughes was traveling east in the 100 block of West Market Street. Shelton was attempting to back out into traffic from a parking spot in the same area. Shelton did not see Hughes, and struckk Hughes’ vehicle. Both cars were able to drive away from the scene.

17 year old Daniel Gardner of Taylorville, 35 year old Jodi Hendricks of Taylorville, and 26 year old Peyton Turvey of Taylorville were in an accident on September 4th at 5:19 in the evening. Gardner was looking in his mirror and did not see the car in front of him had stopped according to the accident report. Gardner failed to break in time and rear ended Hendricks. Hendricks was forced from impact to him the rear end of Turvey.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Wednesday:

36 year old Kristina Kline of Taylorville was in an accident on September 1st at 9:26 in the evening. Kline was backing out of a driveway of 208 South Brents in Langleyville. According to the accident report, Kline struck a car parked on the roadway while backing up. Kline had minor damage to the back, passenger side bumper. The parked car had damage to the back, driver’s side bumper.

35 year old Julia Thornton of Nokomis, and 57 year old Jeffery Miller of Fillmore were in an accident on September 4th at 5:53 in the morning. Thornton was traveling northbound on county highway 1. At approximately 170 North, a horse was on the roadway and Thornton struck the horse causing damage to the front end of his vehicle. After Thornton struck the horse, Miller was traveling northbound behind Thornton, and struck the horse as well. It caused damage to the driver’s side bumper, the step rack on the fuel tank, damage to driver’s side. Thornton was towed from the scene by Andy’s Garage. Miller’s vehicle was still driveable, and all drivers were unharmed.

22 year old Dalton Emerson of Stonington was in an accident on September 3rd at 12:58 at night. Emerson was eastbound on County Road 1400 North at approximately 175 east, he lost control. Emerson crossed the westbound lane and entered the north ditch. He then overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Tuesday:

23 year old Moran Morris of Kincaid, and 17 year old Faith Maxwell of Taylorville were in an accident on August 31st at 5:40 in the afternoon. Morris was turning north onto North Webster Street from West Park Street. Maxwell was traveling North on North Webster Street. Morris merged into the left lane on North Webster and struck Maxwell. Maxwell’s vehicle received damage to the front passenger side bumper. Morris received damage to the driver's side front and back doors of the vehicle. Morris received a citation for improper lane usage.

48 year old Alan Mann of Taylorville was in an accident on August 27th at 11:10 in the morning. According to the accident report, unit 2 was parked in the parking lot of the Country Kitchen Restaurant. Mann parked next to unit 2, and was extending a bucket to cut a tree. Mann tipped over, causing the bucket arm to strike the windshield and front quarter panel of unit 2. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

50 year old Edward Shehi of Milwaukee was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery,  and criminal damage to property.
