54-year-old June A. Cooper of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

33-year-old Tamara A. Wisnasky of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and Destruction of Evidence.

 

47-year-old Randall C. Smith of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Driving While License Suspended.

 

On Wednesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following incidents to Regional Radio News:


A complainant reported an unknown person(s) forced entry into her home on the 700 block of E. Washington, causing damage to the front door. No property was reported missing at the time. The incident occurred sometime after 6:30 p.m. Monday.


A complainant reported the theft of various cordless tools and batteries from a home in the 400 block of Maple. The theft occurred sometime within the last week.


On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


73-year-old Barbara A. Grantham of Butler was driving westbound on Main St. Tuesday where she stopped at the intersection with Locust St. 21-year-old Natalie T. Ogle of Pana was northbound on Locust. Grantham did not see Ogle and proceeded through the intersection, hitting Ogle’s vehicle. No one was hurt. Grantham was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.


36-year-old Marcus A. Keeton of Pana was backing from a driveway in the 400 block of E. Second when he struck the parked car of 34-year-old Tabitha L. Houseman of Pana. No one was hurt.

66-year-old Diane M. King of Taylorville was driving northbound on Route 48 Sunday when a deer ran into the roadway. King hit the deer, but was not hurt.


46-year-old Anthony K. Johnson of Springfield was driving northbound on County Highway 5 Monday when a deer ran into the roadway at about 1840 North. The deer ran into the side of Johnson’s vehicle. He was not hurt.

42-year-old Michael B. Harrelson of Decatur was arrested Friday on a Macon County warrant. Bond is set at $200.

 

A 16-year-old male juvenile of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for driving with a cancelled driver’s license and possession of cannabis more than 30 grams.

 

40-year-old Jacob T. Wafford of Tower Hill was arrested Saturday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant and driving with a suspended license. Bond is set at $400.

 

31-year-old Pamela J. Rozplochowski of Taylorville was arrested Saturday on a Christian County warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

39-year-old Matthew A. Burke of Pana was arrested Saturday for Driving While License Revoked.

 

51-year-old Tamera Turley of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for driving while license expired for more than one year.

47-year-old Jack S. Terrill of Pana was arrested Tuesday for Violating a Protection Order and Being in Possession of Firearms with a Valid Protection order.


34-year-old Jacob O. Banning was arrested Tuesday for Criminal Trespassing to Vehicle and Obstructing a Peace Officer. He was also arrested Friday for Battery.


42-year-old Maggie D. Dust of Pana was arrested Tuesday for Domestic Battery.


28-year-old Tyler J. Dull of Pana was cited Wednesday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.


18-year-old Ethan A. Durbin of Pana was arrested Wednesday for Illegal Possession of Alcohol. Two 17-year-olds with Durbin were issued citations, one for Possession of Cannabis less than 10 grams, and one for possession of drug paraphernalia.


18-year-old Jacob L. Snow of Pana was cited Wednesday for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.


38-year-old Justin L. Barnes of Pana was cited Wednesday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.


40-year-old Daniel L. Osborn of Taylorville was cited Saturday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

30-year-old James L. Bradley of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.


26-year-old Kati M. Cook of Edinburg was arrested Wednesday for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


38-year-old Michael P. Harris of Springfield was arrested Wednesday for Driving 105 in a 65 mph zone.


22-year-old Austin R. Webb or Moweaqua was arrested Saturday for Driving 35+ over the posted speed limit.

47-year-old Tonya S. Claxon of Pana was driving eastbound on 250 N. Rd. on November 13th when she says a deer ran into the road. She swerved to avoid missing the deer and lost control of the vehicle. She went off the south side of the road and traveled down the ditch. She was not hurt.


39-year-old Cynthia A Huddleston of Morrisonville was driving eastbound on 900 N. Rd. on November 15th when a deer entered the roadway and ran into the side of Huddleston’s vehicle. She was not hurt.


19-year-old Ashton L. Scott of Tovey was driving northbound on 300 E. Rd. Tuesday when she began to fishtail on the gravel surface and lost control. She slid off the roadway into the west ditch, causing her to roll onto the driver’s side. Scott was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for her injuries.


33-year-old Ian G. Wilson of Taylorville was driving southbound on Houston St. Sunday when he went airborne crossing the railroad tracks before the intersection with Russell St. He landed on the front of the vehicle and continued across the northbound lane into a yard on the southeast side of the intersection. The car overturned in the yard and landed on its tires. Wilson was unharmed but transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by squad car. Wilson was given citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and DUI - Alcohol.

26-year-old Makel P. Westendorf of Teutopolis was driving eastbound on E. Park Street Tuesday when traffic slowed to a stop. Westendorf did not slow down and rear-ended the vehicle driven by 20-year-old Devin D. Smith of Teutopolis. The impact to Smith into a third vehicle. All parties refused medical treatment. Westendorf’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

65-year-old Sondra K. Cole of Forsyth was driving northbound on Route 48 Sunday. At approximately 1123 North, a deer ran into the roadway. Cole struck the deer. No one was hurt, but Cole’s car was towed from the scene.


61-year-old Joseph A. Dudra of Pana was driving southbound on 2600 E Rd. Tuesday. At approximately 400 North, a deer ran into the roadway. Dudra struck the deer. No one was hurt.


44-year-old Julie M. Lynch of Hillsboro was driving southbound on 200 E Rd. Tuesday. At approximately 450 North, a deer ran into the roadway. Lynch struck the deer. No one was hurt.

27-year-old John M. Patrick of Taylorville was driving eastbound on 900 N. Rd. Friday when a deer ran in front of him at approximately 1475E. He struck the deer, but was not hurt.


59-year-old Joni L. Daugherty of Morrisonville was driving westbound on 750 N Rd. Sunday when a deer ran in front of her at approximately 450E. She struck the deer, but was not hurt.


20-year-old Bailey E. Hamilton of Taylorville had turned southbound onto Ladue Ct. Sunday when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a telephone pole. She continued through the yard and eventually came back onto the roadway. She was not hurt.

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

46-year-old Jeremy L. Rhoades and 43-year-old Tyrone A Powyszynski, both of Pana were both issued citations following a traffic stop on Thursday. Rhoades was cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol as a Driver and Powyszynski was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol as a Passenger. The car was also searched for narcotics after an open-air sniff, and illegal contraband was found. Charges are pending following lab analysis from the Illinois State Police.

 

26-year-old David W. Moore, Jr. of Pana was cited Friday for Operating Uninsured Vehicle.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

A 16-year-old from Pana was driving northbound on First St. behind 73-year-old Sheila M. Cox of Pana, who was stopped 45-year-old Michael W. Barnes of Pana Thursday. The 16-year-old failed to slow down, rear-ending Cox. That impact took Cox into Barnes’ vehicle. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

24-year-old Crystal E. Durham of Pana was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.

 

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

35-year-old Andrew J. Aldrich of Morrisonville was driving westbound on 500 N. Rd. Saturday. At about 800 East, Aldrich went off the roadway to the north and overturned. There was damage to the entire vehicle and it had to be towed. Aldrich was not on scene when police arrived. He came into the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday to report the accident. Aldrich was given a citation for failure to report an accident to police authority.

 

23-year-old Dylan N. DeClerck of Assumption was driving southbound on 2500 E. Rd. Wednesday when a deer ran into the roadway. DeClerck hit the deer, but was not injured.

 

55-year-old Carol J. Brown of Windsor was driving southbound on Route 29 Wednesday. At about 1230 North, a deer ran into the roadway. Brown hit the deer, but was not injured.

34-year-old Austin J. Haddock of Owaneco was arrested Wednesday on a Sangamon County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.

 

On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

77-year-old Fred Mahnke of Shelbyville was driving westbound on Springfield Road Wednesday. 40-year-old Kelly S. Niendick of Blue Mound was stopped at the intersection with Webster and Bidwell Streets behind 75-year-old Arlen W. Kimball of Divernon. Mahnke could not stop in time and rear-ended Niendick’s vehicle. The impact took Niendick’s car into Kimball’s vehicle. No one was hurt. Mahnke was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

 

70-year-old William H. Otey of Taylorville was driving northbound in the 600 block of Esther St. Wednesday. 32-year-old Heather M. Bartlett of Taylorville was driving southbound on the same block. Otey said there was a parked car and he went to go around the vehicle and did not see Bartlett. Bartlett says there was no parked car and Otey came into her lane striking her vehicle. No one was hurt.

 

On Thursday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest and incident to Regional Radio News:


21-year-old Chandler R. Hankins of Salem was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving while license suspended. Hankins’ vehicle was also towed and impounded.


A complainant reported a burglary that occurred in the 800 block of E. Third Street sometime on Saturday. An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked home, taking several items include clothing, prescription medicine and a flat screen TV. The stolen items value over $500. The case is under investigation.

21-year-old Tyler L. Foster of Tower Hill was driving north on S. Poplar St. 38-year-old Megan N. Geisler of Pana was stopped with her left turn signal on waiting to turn onto E. 6th St. Foster reached to grab a tissue in his car and while distracted, he rear-ended Geisler. No injuries were reported. Foster was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

32-year-old Kristopher G. Coy of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday on a Montgomery County and Missouri DOC warrant. He was also charged with Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer and Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

19-year-old James B. Middleton of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Battery and Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a minor.

 

A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested Tuesday for no valid driver’s license and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

 

On Wednesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

One male juvenile was taken into custody after a fight between four male juveniles at Pana High School on November 6th. That juvenile was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct, and Aggravated Battery of a School Official.

 

 

30-year-old Stephanie M. Knezevich of Pana was cited November 6th for No Valid Driver’s License.

 

 

28-year-old Jeremy W. Winter of Pana was arrested November 7 for Possession of of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams, and Aggravated Assault.

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

18-year-old Chase A. Spinner of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Bidwell St. on November 7. 62-year-old Pamela E. Kee of Taylorville was also driving eastbound on Bidwell St. The vehicles collided in the center turn lane. The drivers gave seperate, different versions of what led to the collision. No one was hurt.

 

63-year-old Diane M. Chevalier of Taylorville was driving westbound on Route 104 Monday when a deer ran in the roadway. She could not avoid the deer. The car was rendered inoperable and was towed from the scene. She was not hurt.

76-year-old Jeanene A. Dahler of Nokomis was driving northbound on County Highway 1 Thursday. Just north of 800 N Rd., Dahler hit a deer. She said the deer was not in the roadway and she continued traveling northbound. She reported the accident at the Sheriff’s office.

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


29-year-old Jeremy L. Alwerdt of Taylorville was backing his police vehicle from where it was parked on East Cleveland Street on October 19 when he backed the vehicle into the parked car of Shawn M. Rexford of Taylorville. Alwerdt said there was no vehicle parked behind him when he parked the vehicle. No one was injured.


A 16-year-old was driving northbound on Route 48 Wednesday. At approximately 1100 East, a deer came into the roadway. They could not avoid the deer and struck the deer. No one was hurt.


35-year-old David A. Brownback of Stonington was transporting a prisoner back to the Christian County jail in a Christian County vehicle on County Road 4 Wednesday when a deer ran in the road. He could not avoid the deer. No one was hurt.


37-year-old Christina A. Payne of Hillsboro was driving northbound on US 51 Saturday when a deer ran into the roadway. She could not avoid the deer and struck it. She was not hurt.

51-year-old Audra L. Harris of Pana was driving northbound on Lincoln Trail on October 29. At the intersection with Roosevelt, a deer came out of the ditch. Harris hit the deer on the front passenger side. She wasn’t hurt.


24-year-old Shane M. Ponzel of Taylorville was driving northbound on Long Street in Taylorville and was turning east onto Oak Street on October 31. 40-year-old Timothy J. McKenzie of Decatur was traveling westbound on Oak Street and was stopped at the stop sign. As Ponzel made the right turn, he struck McKenzie’s vehicle. No one was hurt.


27-year-old Shane D. Turner of Taylorville was driving southbound on Route 48 Sunday when at around 800 East, he reached for something in the vehicle. He then went off the road on the north side, overcorrected, and lost control skidding through the northbound lane and coming to a stop in the south side of the road. He was not injured.


20-year-old Tomi D. Durbin of Morrisonville was driving westbound on County Road 10 a half mile east of the county line on Monday. Durbin says a red vehicle came into her lane and almost hit her head on, and she lost control of the vehicle and ended up on its side in the north ditch. Durbin was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle.


32-year-old Thomas W. Avery of Tovey was driving eastbound on Route 104 Tuesday when at about 750 East, a deer ran into the roadway. He hit the deer, but was not hurt.

55-year-old Tracy L. Daigh of Taylorville was driving northbound on Illinois Route 29 Friday when she says she struck a deer in the roadway just south of Pershing Ave. She drove home and reported the accident, and she was not hurt.

 

24-year-old Dustin C. Kitchens of Litchfield was driving westbound on 1600 North Rd. at the intersection with Illinois Route 29 Saturday. 34-year-old Jacob K. Elam was driving southbound into Taylorville on Route 29. Kitchens did not see Elam coming and attempted to cross Route 29 from 1600 North Rd. causing a collision. A passenger in each car was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital. Both cars had to be towed from the scene.

59-year-old Paul D. Moon of Pana was backing in a parking lot Friday when he struck a dumpster. He was not hurt.

 

26-year-old Jeremy C. Koontz of Tower Hill was eastbound on 3rd St. Saturday when he accidently turned off his headlights. He then struck the parked vehicle of Kristin L. Hawker of Pana. No one was hurt.

A complainant reported the theft of a Craftsman chainsaw and a Reddy Salamander heater. The theft occurred sometime between October 21 and October 29. The theft occurred in the 600 block of E. 1120 N. Road at Pana Lake.
