The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Norman Boaz, 63, was arrested by the Kincaid Police Department for Driving While License Revoked Or Suspended.

 

10/27/24

William Olinger, 47, of Macon was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Driving Under Influence Of Alcohol.

 

Kylie Barlow, 44, of Taylorville was arrested for Aggravated Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol, Intoxicating Compounds, or Other Drugs.

Season Seadlock, 43, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Domestic Battery.

 

Gary Foreman, 41, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Illegal Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Use of Weapon, Aggravated Fleeing of Police, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of Firearm While FOID Revoked.

 

Heather Jones, 39, was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Possession of Cannabis >100-500 Grams, Cannabis Trafficking.

 

Ashlyn Hrabak, 27, of Assumption was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Possession of Methamphetamine, Driving with Suspended License, Operating Vehicle When Registration Revoked/Suspended, and Meth Delivery.

 

Crashes

 

10/12/24

 

Amanda Stokes, 29, of Nokomis was traveling North on 1250 East RD around 775 North when a deer ran into the roadway. The vehicle hit the deer causing disabling damage to the front of the vehicle and was towed by Jachino.

 

10/17/24

 

William Bauman, 35, of Mt. Auburn was traveling East on 2945 North RD when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle was unable to avoid the deer and struck the deer in the roadway causing disabling damage to its front end. the vehicle was removed from the scene by Kertow’s Towing.

 

Samantha Etherton, 35, of Moweaqua was traveling East at approximately 103 West 2nd ST in Assumption. She became distracted by her 2 year old daughter inside the vehicle and struck the outdoor seating area at the “Knotty Pine Bar & Grill”. 

 

10/15/24 at 4:18 a.m.

Trey Churchill, 26, of Moweaqua was traveling West on 2100 North RD when he fell asleep at the wheel. He regained consciousness in a field South of the road and then over corrected turning the vehicle over on its top. The vehicle skidded to a stop back in the road in the Eastbound traffic lane. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed by Kertow’s Towing.

 

10/18/24 at 1:02 p.m.

Unit 1 (Creo Weddle, 22, of Pana); Unit 2 (Bobbie Culberson, 93, of Troy); Unit 3 (Jeremy Reeves, 40, of Greenville)

Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling East on IL RT. 16 in Pana when Unit 2 stopped at 2563 East to maneuver a left turn. As Unit 2 stopped to wait on the Westbound traffic to clear, Unit 1 collided into the passenger’s side rear of Unit 2. The collision then shoved Unit 2 into the Westbound lane causing a secondary collision with Unit 3. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed from the scene by Morrell Towing and Unit 3 received functional damage; no injuries were reported on scene.

 

 

10/22/24 at 7:50 a.m.

 

Kaleb Kuhn, 20, of Nokomis was driving South on 1250 East RD at about 880 North. The driver said he had fallen asleep while driving and ran off the East side of the roadway and into the ditch. The vehicle crashed into a concrete culvert at the residence located at 880 North. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Taylorville Towing.

 

10/22/24 at 11:07 p.m.

 

Barri Ali, 37, of Hamtramck, MI was traveling Northeast and struck a deer head on and causing disabling damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Kertow’s Towing.

Gary J. Foreman, age 41, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Fleeing and Eluding and Resisting Arrest.

 

Hank W. Skinner, age 32, of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery.

 

Season K. Sedlock, age 43, of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery.

 

10/22/24

 

Heather N. Jones, age 39, of Assumption Illinois was arrested for Possession of Cannabis, Trafficking and Intent to Deliver. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to the following crashes:

 

October 10th 8:06 AM  A minor was stopped for traffic on Cheney Street near Northern Avenue.
Dustin Masters of Rochester was stopped at the stop sign in front of the minor. A school bus was turning south from Northern Avenue onto Cheney Street. Masters could not see the minor and backed up to allow the bus room to make the turn. Masters backed their trailer into the minor causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

 

October 11th 1:28 PM Britta L. Canum of Springfield is identified as Unit 1 and Matthew  Conaway is identified as Unit 2.  

Unit 1 called to report a hit and run on her vehicle in the parking lot of Wendy's restaurant. Upon arrival, Unit 1 gave a picture of the license plate that was being driven by Unit 2. Unit 1 advised that Unit 2 backed into her vehicle while she was waiting inside her vehicle. Information was taken at the scene, I then contacted Jacksonville PD to make contact with the owner of Unit 2 to contact our PD. On October 16th, 2024, the driver of Unit 2 called to advise Unit 1 began to start road rage in the town of Berry on Route 29. Unit 2 advised Unit 1 to keep passing his vehicle and then brake-checked him over four times. Unit 2 advised he drove around Taylorville waiting for Unit 1 to back off from the incident. Unit 2 then informed me at the intersection of West Main Cross and South Shumway Street, Unit 1 passed his vehicle and then slammed on the brakes causing both vehicles to tap each other. Unit 2 advised he had a small scratch on the front bumper of the vehicle. Unit 1 then left the scene of the accident and proceeded to Wendy's where Taylorville PD was called for a hit-and-run. Unit 2 advised his girlfriend was in the vehicle and could verify what all occurred from Berry. I was also informed by Unit 2 that there was a garage sale on the corner of Shumway and Main Cross who witnessed the traffic accident. I checked at the residence at 700 West Main Cross to see if they witnessed any traffic crashes. I was informed by the homeowner the family that was there for yard sale, did witness a female driver take off from the scene. Due to the witnesses, the crash report was changed for who was Unit 1 and 2 and the location of the accident. And the report was changed from hit and run to road rage incident.

 

On 10-14-2024, Brenda Patrick was stopped at the intersection of Elm and Snodgrass Streets. Patrick was facing south on Snodgrass Street. A minor from Taylorville was traveling eastbound on Elm Street and was stopped at the intersection of Elm and Snodgrass Streets. The minor went to turn northbound onto Snodgrass Street and turned into Patrick's vehicle causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

Alexandra Moss, 20, was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Aggravated Batter in a Public Place.

Victoria Walker, 27, of Windsor was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Driving on a Suspended License and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Raelene A. Kupgisch, age 33, of Taylorville was arrested for Driving Without a Valid Drivers License.

A Juvenile Male, age 13, of Taylorville was arrested for Aggravated Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

10/11/24

 

Unit 1 (Jeremy Dunstan, 33, of Edinburg) was traveling South on IL RT 29 at 700 N RD when Unit 2 (Cassandra Eilers, 42, of Pana)  was traveling South on IL RT 29. Unit 2 was attempting to make a let hand turn on to 700 N RD. Unit 1 was attempting to pass Unit 2 in the Northbound lane and struck Unit 2. The driver of Unit 1 was transported to St. John’s Hospital and both vehicles were towed from the scene by Taylorville Towing.

 

10/12/24

 

Lisa Seiler, 57, of Owaneco was attempting to leave a parking lot of the Thunderbird Lounge when she backed into the front driver side bumper of a parked vehicle. Lisa Seiler was unaware that she struck the other vehicle and left the scene.

 

10/14/24

 

Timothy Mayes, 43, of Taylorville was traveling South on 900 E RD when he struck a deer just North of 1559 North.

Jess M Curtin, age 41, of Taylorville was arrested for DUI.

 

Taylorville police responded to the following vehicle accidents: 

 

On September 27th, 2024, Taylorville Police Department was dispatched to the area of 400 block of West Vine for vehicle that has hit a electric pole and left the scene. The vehicle was located at the middle of North Clay Street off of West Vine Street. The driver had crashed into an utility pole splitting it the pole all the way down the middle. He had severe damage to the entire front end of the vehicle and all air bags had deployed inside the vehicle. He also had no driver present when units arrived on scene. A tow was requested for the vehicle that was unable to be driven from the location. Police were then contacted by dispatch. The driver arrived at post and admitted to dispatch he had been drinking. The driver, Nathaniel Johnson, was issued three citations for the following charges, no valid insurance, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was also informed he must pay for tow fee and tow bill before the vehicle can be released

 

On September 29th at 9:29 AM on Illinois Route 48 and youth Spresser Street. Atreau A. Damm of Harvel was traveling north on Illinois Route 48 and Brandon J. Hefner of Taylorville was traveling south on Illinois Route 48 approaching the intersection with South Spresser where the driver wanted to turn left. He said that there were several vehicles coming and when he thought it was clear to make his turn he struck Damm in the intersection. Damm stated he tried to swerve to miss the collision, however could not miss from being struck by Hefner. The force of the collision shoved Damm into the ditch where he struck a culvert before traveling to the other side of the embankment. Hefner was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident

Ryan Dionne, 39, of Pana was traveling Eastbound on 200 N RD and disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of 2350 E RD and drove nose first into the East ditch at this intersection. The vehicle was unoccupied and the driver was not on scene. The vehicle was towed by Big Boy Towing.

 

10/2/24

Anna Whalen, 28, of Taylorville was traveling East on IL RTE 104 in rural Taylorville when a deer ran into the roadway. The vehicle made contact with the deer with the front end of the vehicle and was towed by Taylorville Towing.

 

10/4/24

Daniel Marron, 56, of Stonington was traveling South on County 1 around 416 North when a deer ran into the roadway. The vehicle hit the deer causing damage to the vehicle.

 

10/5/24

Brandon Brizendine, 49, of Pana was traveling South on 2500 E RD and went to turn left and traveled straight off the roadway, hitting railroad ties and shrub off of the road. The driver corrected the turn and pulled off on the side of the road. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed by Morrell Auto Service.

Ronald Fisher, 29, of Taylorville was traveling South on IL RTE 48 at about 903 North. Ronald Fisher lost control and went off the right side (west side) of the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and overturned coming to rest on the vehicles roof. Both occupants had exited the vehicle and refused medical attention. The vehicle was towed by Kertow Towing.

 

Robert Kindermann III, 46, of Pana was traveling Southbound on 2300 E RD and left the roadway and drove in the West ditch for approximately 100-150 feet before crashing and coming to a rest. The driver was asleep in the vehicle when it was located. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed by Kertow’s Towing.
