The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Wednesday:

29 year old Justin Burg of Springfield was in an accident on October 29th at 7:01 in the morning. According to the accident report, Burg was traveling southwest on Illinois Route 48 and was approaching the intersection of South Spresser street in Taylorville. Burg was turning right, and then began to skid across south Spresser Street rotating in a clockwise direction. Burg’s drivers side struck the west curb, causing his vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its top. Burg’s vehicle received damage on the front end, and roof. Burg was taken by private vehicle to be checked for injuries.

37 year old Eric Bailey of Nokomis, and 60 year old John Klein of Pana were in an accident on October 30th at 7:05 in the morning. According to the accident report, Bailey was traveling eastbound on County Highway 12 and was approximately half a mile east of Township Road 1500 East. Klein was traveling westbound on County Highway 12 and was ½ mile west of township road 1600 East. Bailey lost both rear and driver’s side dual wheels on the roadway, and Klein was unable to avoid striking the wheels. Klein received front end damage and no injuries were reported.

27 year old Christopher Woolsey of Girard was in an accident on October 30th at 10:36 at night. Girard was eastbound on Illinois route 104 and struck a deer in the roadway according to the accident report.

38 year old Jeremy Cole of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

42 year old Brandy McMasters of Riverton was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of bad checks.

20 year old Katelyn Melvin of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of battery.

43 year old Mary Sneed of Kincaid was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of battery.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Monday:

20 year old Broderick Lehn-Armstrong of Pana was in an accident on October 27th at 3:25 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Armstrong’s vehicle had appeared to had rolled over on the south side of Illinois Route 104 in the ditch. Armstrong had stated to have rib pain, and was not wearing a seatbelt. Multiple air bags were also deployed. There was also a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Armstrong was transported by ambulance to St. John's Hospital.

45 year old Rosita Downing of Pana, and 53 year old Christina Jenkins of Assumption were in an accident on October 23rd at 4:08 in the afternoon. Downing was traveling westbound on 400 North road. Jenkins was traveling southbound on 2500 east road. According to the accident report, both vehicles met in the center of the roadway with Jenkins striking Downing. Both drivers were transported to PCH due to injuries.

50 year old Darren Fritts of Morrisonville was in an accident October 26th at 6:05 in the morning. Fritts was westbound on county highway 10 just west of county highway 1 when a deer ran into the path of the unit. According to the accident report, Fritts struck the deer causing front end damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and Fritts was driven from the scene.

40 year old Christopher Lush of Edinburg was arrested on Friday on a charge of violating an order of protection.

19 year old Zachary Morrissey of Kincaid was arrested on Friday on a charge of battery.

According to the accident report, Young was traveling northbound in the northbound lanes on Illinois Route 29 near County Highway 23. A deer entered the roadway and Young was unable to avoid striking the animal and received front end damage. 

84 year old Jerry Moomey of Owaneco was in an accident on October 25th at 6:15 in the morning. According to the accident report, Moomey was traveling northbound on Township Road 1600 east near Township road 1100 north when a deer entered the roadway. Moomey was unable to avoid striking the deer and received front end damage.

49 year old William Hopper of Pana was in an accident on October 25th at 7:06 in the evening. According to the accident report, Hopper was traveling southeast on Illinois Route 29 when a deer entered the roadway from the east. Hopper struck the deer, and went into an out of control spin out, and came to a rest in the ditch on the west side of Illinois Route 29.

33 year old Justin Sevener of Taylorville was in an accident on October 22nd at 10:48 at night. According to the accident report, Sevener was southbound on Route 29 and at approximately 1850 north, he struck a deer in the roadway. Sevener lost control and entered the west ditch receiving major front end damage. There were no injuries reported. 

41 year old Jeremy Cashen of SPringfield was arrested on Monday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

36 year old Joshua DeClerck of Springfield was arrested on Monday on a charge of violating an order of protection.

79 year old Aleta Kettelkamp of Nokomis was in an accident on October 21st at 7:15 in the evening. Kettelkamp was traveling southbound on county highway 1 near 900 North road and 800 North road according to the accident report. A deer ran into the roadway, and Kettelkamp was unable to avoid it. No injuries were reported.

17 year old Kaden Smith of Edinburg was in an accident on October 19th at 9:58 at night. According to the accident report, Smith was traveling north on 800 east road. Smith went off the roadway to the left and overturned in the field. Smith came to a rest on its top. Smith refused medical attention, and his vehicle was towed by Kertow. 

50 year old Annette Van Hooser of Taylorville was in an accident of October 19th at 5:20 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Van Hooser was traveling south on route 29. Van Hooser was pulling a horse trailer just south of 450 North road when the trailer came separated. The trailer went across the northbound lane of traffic and off the roadway. The trailer hit a power pole belonging to Shelby Electric.

34 year old Michael Altevogt of Auburn was in an accident on October 19th at 8 in the morning. According to the accent report Altevogt was traveling northbound on county highway 5. Altevogt struck a deer at 1650 north and sustained damage to the front right side of the vehicle. Altevogt was able to drive away from the scene.

22 year old Aundrea South of Taylorville was in an accident on October 16th at 6:33 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, South was traveling westbound on 1250 north road about a quarter mile west of 900 east road when a deer ran into the roadway. South stated that she was unable to avoid the deer. No injuries were reported. 

33 year old Rachel Reatherford of Pana was in an accident on October 12th at 10:07 at night. According to the accident report, Reatherford was traveling eastbound on 250 north road just east of 2700 east road when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the side of the unit. Reatherford stated that she did not see the deer until it struck her vehicle.

36 year old Elizabeth Coatney of Nokomis was arrested on Sunday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. 

28 year old Hannah McIntosh of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday on a charge of domestic battery. 

28 year old Mister Jenkins of Cahokia was arrested on Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

23 year old Michael Beaty of Pana was arrested on Saturday on a charge of violating an order of protection, and domestic battery.

17 year old Mikayla Bell of Palmer was in an accident October 11th at 3:22 in the afternoon. Bell was traveling southbound on 900 East Road according to the accident report. Bell moved over to the side of the road to avoid a pothole, and lost control of her vehicle in the rocks. Bell went off the roadway to the west and hit the ditch, and came to a rest facing north. Bell was unharmed, but her vehicle was towed from the scene by Kertow’s Towing.

68 year old Judy Wikoff of Pana was in an accident October 12th at 5:48 in the evening. According to the accident report, Wikoff was traveling south on Route 29 south of Taylorville when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the side of Wikoff’s vehicle. 

19 year old Carrie Denning of Taylorville was in an accident October 13th at 2:10 in the morning. According to the accident report, Denning was traveling Northeast on Route 48 when an oncoming vehicle entered Denning’s lane. Denning swerved out of the way and struck an unknown object in a ditch on the north side of Route 48. Denning refused medical treatment, and was able to leave the scene.

19 year old Lynnae Thomas of Taylorville was in an accident October 13th at 8:45 in the morning. According to the accident report, she was traveling northbound on Township road 1660 East when a deer entered the roadway. Thomas struck the deer, received front end damage, but was able to leave the scene.

29 year old Jacob Dautel of Palmer and 50 year old Joanie Delaney of Palmer were in an accident October 11th at 7:27 in the morning. According to the accident report, Dautel and Delaney were traveling North on Township road 450 East. Dautel lost control of the vehicle and struck the left door of Delaney’s vehicle causing it to go off the roadway. Delaney landed in a ditch coming to a rest on the east side of the road. Delaney’s vehicle was unable to drive away from the scene due to damage from the crash. Dautel said he did not receive an injury, and Delaney claimed to have a sore neck from the accident.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News on Monday:

33 year old Michael Bowman of Springfield was in an accident on October 7th at 5:30 in the morning. Bowman was eastbound on county highway 6. Just west of Township Road 2500 East Bowman drove off the road and onto the shoulder. According to the accident report, Bowman traveled 200 feet before coming back onto the roadway, but overcorrected to the right and began to spin. Bowman traveled off the road and through a ditch into a private yard before striking two trees and coming to a rest. Bowman left the scene and walked to his house, Morrell Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

26 year old Kourtney Fickas of Springfield and 46 year old Kandi Black of Stonington were in an accident October 6th at 12:19 in the afternoon. Fickas backed out from the private drive at West Wabash street in Stonington to proceed westbound. Fickas backed into the southbound lane of West Wabash Street and stopped in front of the driveway at 306 West Wabash Street. According to the accident report Fickas said that she was ready to pull away when she was struck by Black. The two vehicles had backed into each other from across the street. Fickas received damage on the driver’s side door, and Black received damage to the rear driver’s side.

23 year old Kaetlyn Durbin of Shelbyville was in an accident on October 5th at 6:17 in the afternoon. Durbin was traveling North on County 7. According to the accident report, Durbin lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway. Durbin hit the ditch and tolled one time coming to rest on the vehicle’s side.

50 year old Christine Marron of Stonington and 25 year old Blake Clinard of Taylorville was in an accident on October 5th at 7:12 in the morning. Marron was traveling westbound on East North Street and was slowing to stop at the stop sign with intersection road Illinois Route 48 in Stonington. Marron stated that she slowly proceeded towards Illinois Route 48 because her vision was partially obstructed to the north by a garage and trees. According to the accident report, Clinard was turning eastbound on East North Street when the two vehicles made impact. Marron received front, driver’s side damage and there was no damage to Clinard. No injuries were reported.

30 year old Matthew Lee of Nokomis was in an accident on October 3rd at 6:30 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Lee was traveling west bound on county road 600 North. Lee failed to reduce speed at the intersection. Lee skidded off the roadway and struck the ditch embankment. Lee fled the scene of the crash, and open containers were found in his vehicle. Lee was issued 3 citations for failure to reduce speed, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to report an accident to the police.

23 year old Emily Dozier of Pawnee was in an accident of October 2nd at 8:45 in the morning. According to the accident report, Dozier struck a deer on the roadway.

16 year old Payton McDaniel of Palmer was in an accident on October 2nd at 3:39 in the afternoon. McDaniel was traveling north east on Illinois route 48, according to the accident report. McDaniel crossed the center line at 1075 North and struck the concrete bridge barrier on the west side of the highway. McDaniel then turned right and re-entered the correct lane of traffic and struck the concrete barrier on the east side of the road. McDaniel then came to a stop on the bridge blocking northbound traffic. McDaniel was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Talbot turned to the north on 2000 east road. When turning, the trailer on the back of Talbott’s vehicle struck a power pole on the northeast corner of the intersection causing damage to the pole. The trailer sustained damage on the passenger side.

57 year old Dennis Slater of Vandalia and 34 year old Stephen Horath of Morrisonville were in an accident on September 27th. According to the accident report, Slater was traveling southbound on Township Road 200 E approaching the intersection with Township Road 900 N. Horath was traveling eastbound on Township Road 900 North approaching the intersection with Township Road 200 East. Slater stated that as he was approaching the intersection, he was traveling at approximately 40-45 miles per hour and have moved his vehicle to the east side of the roadway. Horath stated that he was traveling at roughly 45 miles per hour and was slowing down to proceed through the intersection. Both vehicles entered the intersection, and Slater struck the front end of Horath’s vehicle. The impact caused Slater to rotate counter clockwise sending the passenger side of his car to the drivers side of Horath’s tractor unit. Slater received total damage, the tractor of Horath received major damage to the front end on the drivers side. Horath was airlifted to St. Johns Hospital for treatment of injuries. 

18 year old Anna Lee of Mount Auburn was in an accident on September 28th. According to the accident report, Lee was traveling northbound on County Highway #22 ¼ of a mile south of township road 3130 north when a deer entered the roadway. Lee was unable to avoid striking the animal, and after hitting the deer, entered the west ditch and proceeded in a northerly direction until it came to a rest. Lee’s vehicle had front end damage. Lee was transported by Decatur Ambulance for treatment of injuries.

74 year old Charles Cochran of Nokomis was in an accident on September 28th. According to the accident report, Cochran was traveling southbound on County Highway #1 ½ mile south of Township Road 800 N, when a deer entered the roadway. Cochran was unable to avoid hitting the animal and Cochran’s vehicle received front end damage. 

27 year old David Droke of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

47 year old James Miller of Pana was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of fleeing, or attempting to elude.

25 year old Sarah Fleet of Pana was arrested on Monday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

31 year old Randy Bess of Morrisonville was arrested on Monday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

27 year old William Moore of Kincaid was arrested on Saturday on a charge of failure to appear or answer question.

23 year old Anthony Chavez of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday on a charge of unlawful restraint.
