21 year old Jesse R. Austin of Herrick was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2016 charge of theft. Bond was set at $,3500.

53 year old Curtis R. Burney of Bulpitt was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2020 charge of criminal trespassing. Bond was set at $5,000.

41 year old Dustin D. Theivagt of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on an aggravated DUI and a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge of aggravated DUI. Bond was set at $250,000.

58 year old Steven E. Wicks of Edinburg was arrested on Monday for resisting arrest and driving on a suspended license.

59 year old Russell C. Ishmael of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a domestic battery charge. Bond was set at $1,000.

18 year old Cassandra E. Bradbury of Pawnee was arrested on Sunday for criminal trespass.

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a  2019 charge. Bond was set at $5,000.

32 year old Allison M. Grothaus of Springfield was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of theft. Bond was set at $5,000.

27 year old Amanda M. Vanostran of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $5,000.

21 year old Angela N. McKinnon of Kincaid was arrested on Thursday for driving while license suspended.

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for a warrant.

29 year old Brandon L. Nossem of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license revoked and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver 100g-500g. 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash on the evening of February 15th.  Vanessa R. Wiseman of Taylorville was following a minor eastbound on Lincoln Trail to the intersection with Route 48. The minor stopped at the yellow light, and Wiseman struck the rear of the minor’s vehicle.  No injuries were reported. Wiseman received a citation.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Taylorville Police Department handle this crash. The Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday evening. A minor from Taylorville stated she was eastbound East Taylorville Road, Langleyville. The Driver of the vehicle stated that she attempted to avoid a pedestrian in the road and lost control of the vehicle striking the ditch embankment at 405 East Taylorville Road. The vehicle struck the ditch embankment causing damage to the front end and undercarriage. The vehicle’s owner was at the scene and requested a friend remove the vehicle from the ditch/embankment. The vehicle’s owner was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon.
Gary D. Barlow of Taylorville was driving Northbound in the left Northbound lane. Nichole B. San Miguel was driving Northbound in the right Northbound lane. Barlow began to change lanes from left to right. The front passenger panel of Barlows collided with the front driver panel/wheel well of San Miguel’s. San Miguel’s vehicle was towed away. No injuries were reported.

On Thursday afternoon, TPD responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash. A minor from Mechanicsburg was traveling westbound on Springfield Road when they slowed for traffic in front of them. Gregory A. Warren of Petersburg was traveling westbound on Springfield Road behind the minor’s vehicle when Warren failed to reduce speed striking the minor’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

29 year old Tanner R. Gronewald of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $1500.

41 year old Joseph R. Hadley of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for criminal damage to property and violating an order of protection.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Three juveniles were arrested on Wednesday afternoon after police were called to a fight at Menta Academy. They were transported to TPD for processing. Probation was contacted. The ages of the juveniles were 16, 13, and 14.

29 year old Tanner R. Gronewald of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for driving while license suspended and a Christian County warrant.

A 12 year old, 13 year old, and a 14 year old male juvenile were all arrested on Wednesday for retail theft.

41 year old Joseph R. Hadley of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for violating a court order and criminal damage to state property.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of February 12th. Abbey N Spencer of Taylorville was behind Doran A. King of Mount Zion. King was waiting to turn into a parking lot at 2231 West Spresser Street. Spencer hit King. No injuries were reported.

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on February 13th. David M. Luttrell of Edinburg and Tamara R. Fisher of Kincaid were northbound on Illinois Route 29 just north of 1700 Road. Luttrell stated that they became distracted for a second and did not see Fisher in front of them. The front end of Luttrell’s car collided with the rear end of Fisher’s vehicle. Both units sustained damage. No injuries were reported. 

Taylorville Police were dispatched to the area of Hawley and Springfield road on February 13th in reference to a construction sign that had been struck. Upon arrival, TPD observed a city-owned construction sign laying near that sidewalk with extensive damage. TPD observed tire marks onto the boulevard. Officers received a call of an individual that had been driving down Webster Street and a tire fell off the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle with the tire that fell off was arrested for DUI. Anthony R. Villanueva of Taylorville was arrested for the DUI. It was also learned that Villanueva struck the construction sign on Springfield Road. The driver was arrested for DUI, leaving the scene of a property damage incident and cited for improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Tuesday evening at Illinois Route 48 ½ mile west of south Spresser street. Kristin E. King of Hilsboro struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

35 year old Wesley Potts of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant from a DUI Charge from 2019. Bond was set at $6,000.

33 year old Anthony R. Cervantes of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for DUI. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Thursday evening. A minor from Mount Auburn was traveling northbound on 1300E at 1846N. He lost control of his vehicle when he hit a patch of ice and went off the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole on the right side of the roadway and came to a stop. The driver was taken to Taylorville Hospital by his parents after complaining of a headache. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday evening. Camille R. Beyers of Owaneco was traveling northbound  on Il Route 29 ¼ mile north of 2000 North Road. The vehicle began to slide on ice and left the roadway on the East side. The vehicle then continued down a deep embankment went across a deep ditch full of water and came to a complete stop near a field. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was still driveable.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident early Tuesday morning. 27 year old Jessica C. Cottrill of Auburn was traveling east on Illinois Route 104 near 900 East. Cottrill crossed the centerline and westbound traffic lane. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck the embankment. She then overturned and came to stop on the vehicle’s top on the north side of the road in the ditch. Cottrill exited the vehicle before the Sheriff’s Office arrived. She was taken to TMH by ambulance. The vehicle had major damage.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident last Thursday afternoon at Park Street and North Webster. Rhonda E. Hoover of Taylorville was stopped at the stoplight on Webster facing North. Heidi S. Corso of Taylorville was behind Hoover stopped at the stoplight. Hoover moved forward and stopped and Corso pressed on the accelerator and struck the rear end of Hoover’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Corso received a citation.

The Taylorville Police Department was notified of a vehicle accident last Wednesday evening. Meagan E. Knepler of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on Main Cross Street and was nearing the intersection of Main Cross and Shawnee Streets. Knepler began sliding on the icy roadway and struck the curb. The vehicle suffered damage to the back tire and frame and had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday. Richard M. Gerlick of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on Township Road 1250 N and was going to proceed left around the curve onto Township Road 10235E. Gerlick stated the roadway was icy and when he began to slow to maneuver the curve, he slid off the roadway exiting it to the east striking a ditch. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday. Danielle R. Beiber of Tower Hill was traveling west on OOO North Road and attempted to turn north onto 2600 East Road. The road was covered with ice and Beiber slid into the ditch on the north west side of the intersection. Beiber hit the embankment causing damage to the front driver side bumper. The vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.

26 year old Clint D. Olson of Moweaqua was arrested on Thursday for possession of a controlled substance. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on January 30th around 8 AM. A minor from Pana was traveling north on 2600 East Road.  At 222 north, the vehicle slid off the roadway due to the roadway being slick. The vehicle collided with the mailbox at 222 N 2600 East Road.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. Dena L. Winchester of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 29 and just past Township Road 1900 N. As she passed the intersection, she began to slide on the snow/ice-covered roadway exiting the roadway to the right before striking the north end of the west guardrail. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate in a clockwise direction before coming to rest facing northwest. The vehicle received major front end damage and Winchester was transported to Springfield Memorial Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Thursday morning. Rebecca L. Hoskins of Taylorville was pulling into a private driveway at 1101 West Coal Street in Taylorville. As she proceeded into the ice-covered driveway, she was unable to stop before striking the front porch area. The vehicle received front end and front panel damage. The porch received damage to the front porch/stair rails. No injuries were reported. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. A minor from Tovey was traveling west on Illinois Route 104 about 1100 East Road. The vehicle lost control on the ice, snow and or slush-covered roadway. The vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into the guardrail on the north side of the highway. The vehicle was towed and the minor’s passenger was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital with injuries.

30 year old Curtis M. Fuess of Blue Mound was arrested on January 26th for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon.  He was also issued citations for driving while license was suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. He was transported to the detention center for processing.

31 year old Jacob L. Meinders of Windsor was arrested on January 26th for aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, battery, and criminal damage to property.  He was transported to the detention center for processing.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday. Leota J. Burton of Moweaqua was north bound on US Route 51 north of 1500 N Road.  The driver hit an icy patch and lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch.  After being pulled out she went home. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday. Bradley E. Morissey of Taylorville lost control of his vehicle going off the road and coming to rest against the trees on the north side of the roadway on Illinois Route 48 near N 1350 E Rd. He was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital after reporting feeling dizzy.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday. Amber N. Spracklen of Taylorville was traveling Northwest on Illinois Route 29 at Okey Street in Millersville behind Carla K. Mickey of Taylorville. Spracklen lost control of the vehicle sliding on ice and colliding with the passenger side door of Mickey. Spracklen ran over a stop sign and came to a complete stop in a grassy area.  No injuries were reported.

29 year old Aimee N. Miller of Pana was arrested on Saturday on an original arrest warrant for a driving on a suspended license charge from 2019. Bond was set at $2,500.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening. Brittany N. Hall of Morrisonville was traveling south on 1025 East, just south of 1330 North when a deer entered the roadway.  Hall was unable to avoid hitting the deer and received damage. No injuries were reported. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday evening. Nicole D. Bailey of Owaneco was traveling westbound on 800 N Road ½ mile west of 1500 E. A deer ran out from the north side of the road and she struck the deer on the front passenger side. The vehicle was still driveable and no injuries were reported.

27 year old Justin M. McKay of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence and aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer. McKay was processed and taken to C.C.C.C. for holding in lieu of bond.

32 year old Michal T. Solomon of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for no valid driver’s license.

30 year old Ethan W. Peden of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for no valid driver’s license.
