Donald Runyon, 46, of Edinburg was arrested by Edinburg PD on a Warrant for Possession Of Meth <5 Grams.

Robert Taylor, 60, of Morrisonville was traveling West near 1375 E 350 North RD when it struck a deer that entered the roadway.

Danny M. Taylor, age 57, of Springfield Illinois was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery and Attempted Sexual Assault.

The Taylorville Police investigated the following crashes:

On 08-19-2024, Scott Ruddock of Taylorville and Kathrynn Minks of Taylorville were traveling southbound on Houston Street. Ruddock was preparing to turn west onto England Street. A vehicle was on England Street and its position was preventing Ruddock who was in a mini-bus, from turning. Ruddock backed up to allow the vehicle to pull out onto England Street. While doing so, he struck Minks, causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

Both Erica Edwards of Taylorville and Olivia Pruitt of Taylorville were traveling north on North Webster St. and just traveled through the intersection on August 21st. Pruitt was slowing in traffic due to the speed of traffic and Edwards could not stop in time to avoid an accident. Both pulled to the side of the road and the turn lane from West Park Street to North Webster Street was closed for a short time. Edwards was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Edwards was towed from the accident scene by Kertow's Towing due to disabling damage

On August 21st, 2024 Mark Goebel of Taylorville struck a deer. The accident occurred at the intersection of IL Route 48 and Houston Street in Taylorville Illinois. The vehicle had a minor dent on the front passenger side above the wheel and there were tufts of fur still stuck to the vehicle.

On 08-24-2024, Jennifer Evans of Taylorville was attempting to exit the parking lot of Arby's and turn south onto Cheney Street. A vehicle, traveling northbound, stopped in traffic and waved Evans out. Evans exited the parking lot and as they proceeded into the southbound lane struck Lisa Durbin of Springfield, who was traveling southbound on Cheney Street, causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

Ernest Cox, 61, of Springfield was facing East on 1400 North RD and Jacob Thomas, 32, of Edinburg was facing East on 1400 North RD. Ernest Cox started to back up to the West in an attempt to turn around and did not see Jacob Thomas’ vehicle behind him. Ernest Cox’s vehicle received damage to the rear driver side of the vehicle and Jacob Thomas’ vehicle received damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Kylie Neisler, 18, of Raymond was traveling on 900 North RD at approximately 675 East RD when it approached a curve in the road. She failed to negotiate the turn appropriately and continued across 675 East RD striking the embankment on the West side of the road. The vehicle then continued Southwest approximately 20 feet before coming to a stop.

William Girrulat, 57, of Pana was traveling West on 350 North Road when the driver over corrected causing the vehicle to exit the roadway into the North ditch.

William Girrulat, 57, of Pana was traveling East on 350 North Road. the vehicle approached 2300 East Road and lost control and went into the South ditch, traveling approximately 125 feet crossing over 2300 East Road and then collided into the East ditch embankment.

Yale Dierker, 33, of Mattoon was traveling North on Poplar Street and failed to negotiate the curve in the road. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle had severe damage to its front end and was found facing North.
