Cheryl Peat, 72, of Tovey was backing out of her driveway when another vehicle was parked in her driveway.
6/12/25 at 9:11 p.m.
Annabelle Davison, 18, of blue Mound was traveling South on 1700 North Road and failed to make the jog in the road to the South and continued through the intersection. The vehicle left the roadway and made contact with the ditch to the East on 1500 East. The vehicle left the roadway and made contact with the East Road ditch on 1500 East at the t-intersection and caught on fire after the crash.

Unit 1 (Jimmy Crisp, 54, of Morrisonville) and Unit 2 (Brennen Young, 25, of Pawnee)
Unit 1 was traveling West on County Highway 10 and Unit 2 was making a left hand turn off of 00 East Road onto County Highway 10. Unit 1 struck the rear outside wheel on the rear axle of the trailer on Unit 2. Unit 1 came to a stop off the roadway and Unit 2 came to a stop East of the intersection.

Unit 1 (Aaron Adams, 35, of Jerseyville) and Unit 2 (Tucker Beckmier, 46, of Morrisonville)
Unit 2 was driving South in the Casey’s General Store parking lot in Morrisonville and Unit 1 was backing out of a parking spot in the same parking lot. Unit 1 backed into Unit 2 in the parking lot; Unit 1 had damage to the passenger side rear bumper and Unit 2 had damage to the passenger side rear bumper and bed corner.
6/20/25 at 11:08 p.m.
Nicholas Stoutamyer, 60, of Edinburg was traveling Eastbound on 2300 North Road near 1000 East Road when a deer entered the roadway from the South. The deer struck the passenger side rear quarter panel.

The Taylorville Police investigated the following crashes:
June 12th 3:44 PM East Park Street. Delora L. Stolz of Mt Auburn was parked at the Driver's License Facility and going for a test drive. When Stolz put the vehicle in reverse, they came into contact with a light pole. Stolz told police that the the brake pedal was to the bottom of the floor. No injuries were reported.
June 13th 9:49 PM. Lake Shore and Eastwood. Kason S. Long of Taylorville was heading southeast on West Lake Shore Drive. Long says he was approaching the curve too fast and lost control on the wet road, skidding into the left hand ditch. No injuries were reported.
June 18th 4:55 AM. Nort Webster. Isidora P. Morales of Taylorville was heading west on Pleasant Street and didn't stop at the intersection continuing through and across a grass lawn before striking a garage on the rear parking lot of 400 N Webster Street. The driver was issued four citations. No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police investigated the following crash: On June 15th at 6:55 PM, A minor from Taylorville was heading south in the 900 block of Briarcliff and swerved to miss a deer striking a concrete wall at the base of a bridge. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Jennifer Prince, 50, of Kincaid was traveling North on 1300 East RD when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle was unable to avoid the deer and struck the front of the vehicle.
6/4/25 at 6:05 p.m.
Brett Wilkerson, 31, of Nokomis was traveling North on 1250 East RD and 707 North RD when it began to hydroplane. the vehicle left the roadway to the east and skidded back onto the roadway where it began to barrel roll. The vehicle rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop in the middle of both lanes on 1250 East RD. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Jachino’s Towing.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to the following vehicle accidents:
June 5th 2025, 3:43 PM at Spresser and Main Cross. Ronald A. Calpito of Taylorville did not stop at the stop sign on Main Cross and Shumway, heading east on Main Cross Street. Donna J. Radzimanowsky of Taylorville was almost through the intersection heading south on Shumway Street and was struck by Calpito. No injuries were reported. Calpito received a citation for disobeying a stop sign.

Taylorville Police investigated a crash that occurred on May 29th at 5:15 PM. According to Taylorville Police Tommy Mcabe of Sullivan was headed to fast on Webster and crashed into the back of Jessica Franks of Taylorville. No injuries were reported.

Kasandra Nicol, 20, of Nokomis was traveling West on 500 N Road and left the roadway and collided with a concrete wall on the Westside of 1350 E Road. the vehicle had front end damage and was removed from the scene by Kertow's Towing.

Stuart Batty, 60, of Taylorville was traveling South on 1250 E Road when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle was unable to avoid the deer and truck the deer in the roadway. The vehicle had damage to its front end.

Frank McWard, 33, of Taylorville was traveling East on 1500 N Road at approximately 710 East when it left the roadway. The vehicle struck the bridge guard rail and overturned before coming to rest on it's side in the creek bottom.

Mathew Heberling, 40 of Owaneco was traveling North near 845 E 1250 East Road and struck a deer that entered the roadway.

James Baker, 53, of Owaneco was traveling East on 900 North Road when a deer entered the roadway. the vehicle struck the deer with its front passenger bumper. The vehicle was hauling a water tank in its bed. the decreased speed prior to the crash caused the water tank to shift into the front bed panel causing the bed to separate and the rear window to shatter.

May 20th 2025 11:43 AM, Megan K. Taplin of Rochester was traveling northwest on Route 29 approaching the intersection with Route 104. Paula A. Gipson of Taylorville was waiting at a red light to continue traveling west on Route 104. The light turned green for Gipson and Taplin failed to stop at the light striking Gipson's vehicle.
May 23rd 2025 at 4:28 PM. Kiersten N. Dautel of Palmer told police they were exiting the gas station parking lot turning west onto Route 104 when a third unit waved them on. Dautel proceeded into the roadway, failing to yield for Jeff A. Ladage of Taylorville and Ladage struck Dautel.
