Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 8/19/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following to Regional Radio News;


The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident on Thursday morning. 29 year old Troy A. Donaldson Jr. of Blue Mound was headed eastbound on County Highway 2. At 1650 East the driver swerved to miss a deer and entered the north ditch striking a culvert. The vehicle overturned and came to rest facing west in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Thursday morning. 61 year old Peggy S. Brown of Taylorville was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48. Brown hit a deer at approximately 1055 N Road. No injuries were reported. 
 

45 year old Michael R. Dodson of Pana was arrested on Monday for domestic battery and threatening a public official.

 

40 year old Rickie L. Fancher was arrested on Sunday for a warrant stemming from an earlier 2019 case.  Bond was set at $2,500.

 

32 year old Christopher W. Barnes of Owaneco was arrested on Friday for possession of methamphetamine, aggravated fleeing or eluding an officer, meth delivery, and a registered arsonist giving false information.

 

42 year old Danielle L. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for possession of methamphetamine. 

 

55 year old Carol S. Mansfield of Morrisonville was arrested on Friday for a bond forfeiture warrant from a 2018 case. Bond was set at $200. 

 

34 year old James R. Coghlan of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for theft and criminal damage to property. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

25 year old Michelle S. Dixon of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for retail theft.

 

20 year old Devion T. Austin of Granite City was arrested on Sunday for driving while license suspended.

 

38 year old Jason King of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving revoked.

 

32 year old Christopher W. Barnes of Owaneco was arrested on Friday for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of fictitious or altered plates.


The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 12 EMS calls between Friday morning at 9 and Monday morning at 9.
