The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

A minor from Moweaqua was traveling South on 2625 East Road and lost control of the vehicle and began skidding. The vehicle came to a stop in the ditch/corn field on the East Side of the road.

Wade Johnston, 24, of Findlay’s vehicle was called in as a broke down vehicle at RT.29 and 425 North. the vehicle had a lot of damage to the vehicle and was missing the rear bumper. T bumper was located on RT.29 just South of 700 North in Millersville. The vehicle drove down into the ditch at this location and ran over the Rosamond sign causing damage to the sign and the vehicle. The vehicle then drove off heading South until the vehicle would not go anymore and was left on the side of the road at the 425 North location.

A minor from Pana stated she was traveling West near 1577 E 900 North RD, when she struck a deer that entered the roadway.

The Taylorville Police Department investigated the following police vehicle crashes:
On 6/21/24 at 9:11 AM Taylor Carter of Springfield was stopped in traffic with turn signal activated, waiting for traffic to clear to turn left into a driveway. Connor FItch of Springfield failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident, rear-ending Carter.
On 6/29/24 at 2:45 PM Duane E. Garren of Taylorville was traveling westbound in the 700 block of Vandeveer Street. Garren then partially traveled up onto the curb and continued westbound. Garren struck a vehicle, which was legally parked in the 700 block of West Vandeveer Street. Garren was
towed from the scene.
On July 1st, 2024 at 10:32 AM Diana Williams of Taylorville was heading North on Webster Street then began to merge over into the turning lane to turn left at Spresser Street. Williams stayed in the north bound lane on Webster Street, Once Williams merged into the left-hand lane, Williams then tried to make left-hand turn in the right-hand lane. Donna S. Griffith of Taylorville struck Williams causing her to go into oncoming traffic. Both units proceeded to 120 West Park Street to wait for law enforcement to arrive on scene, so there was no lane blockage. Griffith had medium damage to the entire front bumper and driver's front fender. Williams had damage to the entire side of the passenger car. Griffith was issued two citations for no valid insurance and improper lane usage. Griffith had 2 passengers who all declined medical attention. Williams was informed the driver could not produce a valid insurance card at the time of the accident. Both parties exchanged information and both units were able to be driven away from the scene.
