The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday morning. 22-year-old Noah S Ramsey of Springfield was involved with an accident with 70-year-old Karen S. Door of Owaneco.  The incident happened on Illinois Route 29 at 2100 North Road.  No injuries were reported.

20 year old Joshua M. Merrifield of Rosamond was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a speeding 26-34 miles above the speed limit charge from 2018. Bond was set at $6,000.

40 year old Megan R. Lynn from Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge of possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $150,000

18 year old Eric R. Welge of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for illegal possession and transportation of liquor. 

27 year old Alyssa J. Richardson of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a possession of methamphetamine charge from 2019. Bond was set at $7,500.

23 year old Patrick D. Emmerling of Bulpitt was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a possession of methamphetamine charge from 2018. Bond was set $5,000.

James H. Bedinger of Taylorville reported to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office that he struck a deer westbound on County Highway 10 at 1200 East on Monday evening.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle rolllover on the morning of February 26th. Raymond A. Bright of Stonington was traveling south on 1025 East Road. The vehicle lost control and drove off the road and ended up on its side.

On Wednesday afternoon, The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident at Route 29 and 2100 North Road in Edinburg for an accident involving two vehicles. Darrell E. Edwards of Edinburg had been traveling west on 2100 North Road and attempted to cross over IL Route 29. Edwards failed to yield to southbound traffic and collided with Cynthia L. Herpstreith of Taylorville who had been traveling on IL Route 29 in the right southbound lane. After the collision Herpstreith continued off of the roadway and struck a stop sign with two other traffic signs attached to it. Herpstreith then came to rest in a drainage ditch. Herpstreith came to rest in the right southbound lane of IL Route 29. Both Edwards and Herpstreith refused medical treatment on the scene. Herpstreith had a family member transport them to TMH to check for injuries. IDOT came by later to repair the stop sign.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. Nickolas J. Harlow of Kincaid was driving westbound in the 600 block of West Poplar Street when Heather L. Davidson of Taylorville backed out east bound out of the driveway of 627 West Poplar. Davidson’s rear bumper collided with the passenger side doors of Harlow. Davidson received a citation. No injuries were reported.

ON MARCH 3 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:15 PM TAYLORVILLE POLICE WERE RADIOED BY 911 IN REFERENCE TO A TWO CAR ACCIDENT AT THE INTERSECTION OF WEST MARKET STREET AND SOUTH SHUMWAY STREET. UPON ARRIVAL THE MOTHER OF DRIVER, SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD BRODY M. DECLERCK OF STONINGTON, WAS ARGUING WITH A WITNESS OVER HER SON BEING SEEN WITH HIS PHONE IN HIS HAND. DECLERCK WAS TRAVELING WEST ON WEST MARKET STREET WHEN HE FAILED TO YIELD RIGHT OF WAY AT THE STOP INTERSECTION FOR EAST AND WEST TRAFFIC. SIXTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD PAMELA S. LYNCH OF TAYLORVILLE WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON SOUTH SHUMWAY STREET AND WAS STRUCK BY DECLERCK. BOTH VEHICLES WERE TOWED DUE TO DAMAGE.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Springfield Road near Taylorville High School on Tuesday morning. David M. Buchanon of Springfield was stopped in traffic and Alice L. Mickey of Pana was stopped behind him. Phillip A. Deal of Morrisonville failed to stop in time hitting Mickey who then hit Buchanon. All vehicles received damage with Deal’s vehicle receiving the most. No injuries were reported.

30 year old Lacey Myers of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 driving while suspended charge. Bond was set at $5,000.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday morning. Melissa F. Kimbro of Wagnor struck a deer on County Highway 10 near 650 East. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office also responded to a vehicle accident at 7:30 on Wednesday evening. Manzell D. Talbert of Springfield was headed southeast on Illinois Route 29 near the intersection of 800 North Road, struck a deer and caused a significant amount of damage. No injuries were reported.

30 year old Steven J. Nutaut of Havana was arrested on Tuesday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 retail theft charge. Bond was set at $5,000.

45 year old Angela M. Beard of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for a burglary charge.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Tuesday morning. Dustin Damn of Palmyra was traveling east on 350 North Road when it met Aron C. Huff of Carlinville traveling west at about 2250 east. Both units attempted to get over, but Damn was towing a large farm implement. The farm implement of Damn’s vehicle hit Huff’s driver side mirror and dented down the driver side of the box trailer of Huff’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office also responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday evening. James H. Kirbach of Virden was headed westbound on Illinois Route 104, when a deer ran out into the road. Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle refused medical treatment.

Spinner of Taylorville was traveling south on Illinois Route 48 when they crossed the center line into the northbound lane. The driver was unable to correct the vehicle and hit the ditch on the east side of the road. The vehicle received damage but no injuries were reported.
