Shelby County Arrests---August

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News:

 

55 year old Charles R. Williams of Strasburg was arrested on July 26th for no valid driver’s license and no valid registration after a traffic stop at the intersection of Lodge and South 1st Streets. He was transported to the detention center for processing.

 

29 year old Billy R. Allred of Shelbyville was arrested on July 28th for driving while license suspended and an active warrant out of Coles County after a traffic stop at the intersection of West Main Street and Lodge. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing and later posted bond.

 

50 year old Norah J. Legnon of Tower Hill was arrested on August 2nd for a violation of an order of protection.  He was transported to the detention center awaiting a court appearance. He later posted bond and was released.

 

35 year old Toby L. Collins of Windsor was arrested on August 7th for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and home invasion after deputies responded to a residence after receiving a report of a domestic in progress. He was transported to the Detention Center awaiting a court appearance.

 

52 year old Matthew W. Lawrence of Moweaqua was arrested on August 13th for no valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control device after a traffic crash near 1950N on 1900E involving a train and semi.  He was transported by ambulance to HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital but was later released and transported to the Detention Center for processing.

 

26 year old Aaron M. Watson of Lakewood was arrested on August 17th for possession of methamphetamine and issued a citation for no rear registration plate lights after a traffic stop on North 5th Street in Cowden. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing. He later posted bond and was released.

 

24 year old Anthony S. Evans of Iola was issued citations on August 17th for driving suspended and leaving the scene of an accident/vehicle damage after deputies were dispatched to North 1st and Pine in regards to an accident at the Stewardson Citgo.

 

37 year old Donald R. Minard of Tower Hill was arrested on August 18th for improper operation of an ATV or off-highway motorcycle, driving while license revoked, possession of cannabis; not more than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing.
