On 11/29/21 Angelique R. Ayers age 30 of Taylorville was arrested for a warrant

On 11/29/21 Rodney M. Julius age 24 of Witt IL was arrested for warrant x3
 

The Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on November 23rd at 1:28 PM. Brent Doyle of Blue Mound and Charles D. Henry of Taylorville were both traveling eastbound on Springfield Road, approaching the intersection at North Cheney Street.  Both units slowed/stopped for a red light and Doyle struck Henry in the rear and caused damage to both vehicles.  Doyle reported no injury. Henry reported possible injuries and was transported to TMH.

11-18-21 Diane McWard-Sullivan was traveling north on 615 East Road in Bear Creek Township when she struck a deer. No injuries. No tow.

11-20-21 Feryl Lecocq was traveling westbound on 1350 North Road at 1275 east in Taylorville Township and struck a deer in the middle of the road. No injuries. No tow.

11-21-21 Erica Walker was traveling north on 725 East Road in Buckhart Township, approaching a T intersection with 2300 North Road and disregarded a two way directional sign and continued through the T intersection and off of the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and became airborne and struck the ground causing front end damage and air bag deployment. The vehicle came to a rest in a field north of the T intersection and was towed from the scene.

11-17-21 Mary Reed was traveling north on 1250 East Road in Greenwood Township when she struck a deer. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

11-15-21 Craig Moots was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48, approximately 1/4 of a mile south of Township Road 1900 E. An unknown semi-tractor unit, pulling a semi-trailer, was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 48.. The semi tractor and Moots sideswiped one another. Moots proceeded north and turned right onto Township Road 1900 E to stop and report the accident. The tractor trailer did not stop and continued southbound on Illinois Route 48. Moots received driver's side damage. No injuries were reported.

11-12-21 David Cox was traveling northbound on IL Route 48 when he struck wooden debris in the road. No tow. No injuries

11-14-21 Abigail Bierman Was traveling nb on 1800 east road when it met a jog in the road. The vehicle traveled through the 1800 north road intersection losing control at the jog in the road and ran off the roadway to the right (east) hitting the ditch embankment and overturning. The vehicle came to a stop approximately 200 feet from the intersection at 1800 north road. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

54 year old Fred H. Rutherford of Springfield was arrested on Monday for theft.

A 16 year old male was arrested on Monday for aggravated battery. 

Taylorville police responded to a vehicle crash on November 3rd at 4:15 PM. 25 year old Taera M. Pinedo of Taylorville struck 56 year old Kathleen Driskell in the rear in traffic on East Main Cross Street and Park Street. Pinedo received a citation.

24 year year old Julian A. Marvel of Waggoner was traveling northbound on Route 48 on November 5th at 8:50 AM. 60 year old Deborah K. Stevens of Taylorville was also traveling northbound on Route 48. Marvel said he looked down at his radio and when he looked up again, Stevens was slowing to a stop in front of him. Marvel struck Stevens in the rear end. Stevens said she was turning left onto McAdams Drive from Route 48.  Both units were towed and Marvel was taken to TMH. 

On November 7th at 10:04 AM Stephen J. Asbridge of Taylorville was traveling northbound in the 200 block of North Cherokee when it struck the rear end of a US Postal Service vehicle. Asbridge said he was looking at a oncoming vehicle and got distracted and struck the postal service vehicle. Asbridge was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 

TPD responded to a vehicle crash on November 8th, 2021 at 7:45 AM. 40 year old Sarah Robinson of Taylorville was stopped in traffic in the 900 block of Springfield Road.  30 year old Chelsey M. Stout of Taylorville was traveling northwest in the 900 Block of Springfield Road. Stout struck the rear of Robinson causing damage to the front end of Stout’s vehicle and the rear of Robinson’s vehicle. EMS arrived on the scene but no injuries were reported.

11-7-21 Jennifer Davis was traveling in Ricks Township and struck a deer on IL Route 48 on Beer Creek Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
 
11-7-21 Riley Bastin was southbound on 800E in Mt Auburn Township when he struck a deer. His vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

11-5-21 Hanna Fancher was traveling eastbound on county road 4 in Stonington township when she struck a deer. No tow. No injuries.

11-7-21 Gerald Schmitz was in Greenwood township traveling southbound on 1250 E at 369 N when he struck a coyote. The vehicle had minor body damage and was disabled. It was towed from the scene.

11-8-21 Bruce Sain was in Prairieton township traveling east bound on county 4 when he struck a deer. The vehicle sustained non disabling damage.

11-4-21 Paul Robison 43 was arrested for criminal trespassing, resisting, and aggravated assault to a peace officer.

11-03-21 Megan Alderman was West bound on 1900 n road when she failed to reduce speed to negotiate the "T" intersection. Alderman collided with the west ditch on 2225 e road. The vehicle was found facing North East in the West ditch on 2225 e road. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

11-2-21 Nathen Lehew was pulling into the parking lot at dollar general and got nervous and hit the gas instead of the brake and struck the building.

11-3-21 Jacob Declerk was traveling south on Route 29 in Locust Township. Just south of 1100 North Road a deer ran into the roadway. Declerk hit the deer causing damage to the front of the vehicle.

11-02-21 Scott Jones 53 was arrested by CCSO for disorderly conduct.

10-30-21 Julie Solliday and Alisha Utsler were involved in a traffic crash in Stonington Township. Solliday was turning northbound off of IL RT 48 onto 1900 East Rd. And stated that she did not see Utsler due to the incline for the railroad tracks. Solliday struck Utsler on the railroad tracks. Utsler was southbound on 1900 E RD. Driver of unit 2 stated that she was crossing the railroad tracks when Solliday turned off of IL RT 48 and struck her vehicle. No injuries.

10-29-21 Barbara Herin was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 29, approximately 4/10 of a mile south of Township Road 700 N, when a deer entered the roadway. Herin was unable to avoid striking the animal and the vehicle received major front end damage. No injuries were reported.

10-20-21 Jeremy Masters 31 was arrested by TPD for burglary and theft.

On 10-29-21, Mary Spinner was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 29, approximately 1/4 of a mile south of Township Road 800 N, when a deer entered the roadway. Spinner was unable to avoid striking the animal. Her vehicle received front-end damage. No injuries were reported.

On 10-30-21 Jeffrey Cunningham  WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON CTY 10 AT APPROXIMATELY 76E WHEN A DEER WAS IN THE ROAD. CUNNINGHAM COULD NOT STOP OR MANUEVER AS THERE WERE GUARD RAILS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD. CUNNINGHAM HIT THE DEER AND TRAVELED PAST THE POINT OF IMPACT APPROX 100 FEET WHERE IT CAME TO A STOP AND NOTIFIED 911

The Litchfield Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

On October 30, 2021 at 2331 hours, the Litchfield Fire Department was dispatched by Montgomery County 911 to a report of a vehicle fire.  The first arriving unit arrived to find the bed of pickup truck heavily involved in fire beginning to impinge upon the remainder of the truck and a truck park adjacent to the east. The fire was quickly extinguished with the use of a 1 ¾ inch hoseline.  The incident was declared under control at 2341 hours.  The fire was fought by 4 personnel, staffing 2 apparatus.  
The fire is currently under investigation by Litchfield Fire and Police Departments and anyone with information about the fire is encouraged to contact the Fire Department at 324-8171.
