21 year old Michael Durbin was arrested by TPD on April 27th for violating sex offender registration.

37 year old James Tirpak Jr. was arrested by CCSO on April 27th for criminal sexual assault.

31 year old Ashley Daigle was arrested by TPD on April 27th for public indecency and causing a child to be endangered.

04-26-22 Charles Grimes and Tina Perkins were involved in a traffic crash in Pana township. Grimes and Perkins were traveling westbound on Township Road 000 N. Grimes backed into Perkins and struck his vehicle. No injuries. No tow.

04-17-22 Benjamin Chesterman was traveling westbound on 250 N. in Pana Township when the driver lost control of the vehicle, struck a pole and became airborne. The truck became submerged in Pana lake. No injuries.

04-13-22 Evan Swisher and Brady Marley were involved in a traffic crash in Pana township. Swisher was northbound on 2500 East Road when he pulled into the intersection of 100 N. Road and struck Marley. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries.

04-13-22 James Riba was traveling eastbound on 1250 N. Rd in South Fork township when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. No tow.

04-02-22 Joseph Ruyle was traveling east of Kincaid in South Fork township when he crashed into trees off the south side of the road. The vehicle was towed and Ruyle was transported to the hospital.

04-09-22 Asa Hall was traveling south on 2500 East Road in Assumption township when Asa lost control of the vehicle, traveled into the ditch on the west side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled across the roadway into the east ditch and came to a stop in the field. No injuries. No tow.

04-11-22 Theresa Baker was traveling eastbound on West Franklin Street when she struck a dog in the roadway. No injuries. No tow.

45 year old Brandon DeClerck was arrested on April 1st by CCSO for possession of meth.

22 year old Cole Montgomery was arrested on April 2nd by Kincaid PD for domestic battery.

21 year old Timothy Everlen was arrested on April 3rd by CCSO for failure to appear.

38 year old Bobby Smith III was arrested on April 3rd by CCSO for driving on a suspended license.

33 year old Brittany Wright was arrested on April 4th by Pana PD for domestic battery.

On March 24th Logan Lyons was traveling southwest on IL Route 48 in Taylorville township when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. No tow. 

04/02/22 Bryce Cumberworth  was traveling west on Midland Blvd. in South Fork township when he turned north onto 430 East Road and crashed into the ditch. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

04/02/22 Joseph Ruyle was traveling east of Kincaid when he crashed in the trees off the south side of the road. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Ruyle was transported to the hospital.

04/03/22 Nathan Franklin was traveling eastbound on Township Road in Taylorville when he struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries.

Taylorville Police reported the following to Regional Radio News;

21 year old Wyatt Cain of Taylorville was arrested on April 1st for DUI

47 year old Christopher L. Mills of Taylorville was arrested on April 1st for possession of methamphetamine.

58 year old Patricia E. Parkison of Taylorville was arrested on April 3rd for Retail Theft. 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on March 30th. At 1:11 PM, James Day of Taylorville was traveling south on North Washington Street at Wilson Street.  Day turned left, east onto Wilson, and struck a vehicle being driven by Michelle Neisler of Taylorville. Day stated that immobile, queued traffic for early school dismissal was the reason for attempting the maneuver.  Neisler was transported to an area hospital with possible injuries.  Day was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
