Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

26 year old Angel D. Madden of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery.

35 year old Anthony Maiden of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery.

45 year old Joshua D. Flowers of Nokomis was arrested on Sunday on a Douglas County Warrant. Flowers was than released on a notice to appear after discussion with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. 

ACCIDENTS:

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of January 22nd. Destinee R. Lawrence of Shelbyville and Troy A. Smith of Taylorville traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of E. Park Street. Smith slowed for traffic ahead. Lawrence stated she rear ended Smith in traffic. Smith reported neck/back injury and was transported to TMH for treatment of minor injuries. Lawrence reported no injuries as a result of the crash.

39 year old Dwain E. Sarver of Pana was arrested on Friday for violating an order of protection, aggravated battery to a peace officer, and aggravated assault.

28 year old Angel D. Madden was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery. 

35 year old Anthony Maiden was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery.

30 year old Derek W. Massey of Pana was arrested on Sunday for aggravated domestic battery.

40 year old Alexis I. Givens of Taylorville was arrested on a FTA warrant for driving suspended and a warrant for driving suspended. 

ACCIDENTS: 

Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Route 48 and McAdam Drive. 67 year old Phillip L. Moreland of Assumption and 42 year old Samuel A. Hughes were involved in a vehicle accident on January 21st. No injuries were reported.

29 year old Jerry L. Hay of Springfield was involved in a vehicle accident on Saturday at 2025 N 450 East Road. No injuries were reported.

34 year old Brian J. Stephens of Kincaid was arrested on Wednesday on a FTA warrant for theft.

18 year old Willie J. Jones of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a FTA warrant for aggravated battery to a peace officer.

24 year old Tracy L. Stevens of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a FTA warrant for Meth Delivery and a new charge of possession of methamphetamine.

20 year old Jonathan D. Brooken was involved in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday at 700 E 500 North Road.  Brooken went to the hospital with injuries.

A 16 year old female was arrested on Friday for aggravated battery to a teacher at Corner Stone Academy.

20 year old Hailey N. Pritchett of Decatur was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended.

31 year old Nathan Zepin of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for violation of an order of protection.

40 year old Dustin K. Smart of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for driving under the influence.

24 year old Samantha L. McCaughn of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a FTA warrant for burglary.

34 year old Jonathon N. Daniel of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a violation of order of protection.

40 year old Chad A. Hattaway of Pana was arrested on Sunday for violation of an order of protection.

31 year old Nathan B. Zepin of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for violation of an order of protection.

37 year old Ashley N. Bain of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a FTA warrant for possession of meth.

33 year old Randy E. Bess of Morrisonville was arrested on Saturday on a FTA warrant for possession of

methamphetamine.

77 year old Charles Jump of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for DUI.

37 year old Brandt Ehrhardt of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for Aggravated Battery and Domestic Battery

38 year old Tawana R. Hall was arrested on Friday for a Christian County warrant and driving while license suspended.

25 year old Briar D. Samson of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for domestic battery.

19 year old Timothy J. Everlen of Stonington was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended.

47 year old Steven M. Frazier of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for Aggravated Domestic Battery.

58 year old Pamela S. Chasteen of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a FTA warrant for driving suspended/revoked.

42 year old Joseph R. Hadley of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for resisting/obstructing an officer.

53 year old Troy B. Crowder of Tovey was arrested on Thursday for fleeing police and driving suspended/revoked. 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

34 year old Carl Gray of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for criminal trespass. 

58 year old Pamela Chasteen of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a Christian County Warrant.

ACCIDENTS:

38 year old Eric S. Jones of Huntingdon, Tennessee was traveling eastbound on December 29th on Bidwell Street and was turning northbound onto Snodgrass Street. The Semitrailer struck a utility pole. The pole was broken. Upon further investigation it was discovered another vehicle may have struck the pole earlier in the morning. No injuries were reported.

Taylorville Police also investigated a crash on December 31st on Spresser Street. John R. Paine of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Spresser Street and was approaching the intersection of Clearing Avenue. Thomas A. Carter of Morrisonville was on Clearing Avenue and was waiting to turn left onto Spresser Street.  Carter did not see Payne and turned into the intersection, causing a collision.  Both units were able to drive away from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident drive away on West Spresser on January 1st. Mikayla P. Felton of Taylorville reported that she was parked in the parking lot of the Funky Monkey and that she did not notice damage to her vehicle until she arrived home. Felton said that she was parked in the parking lot from 11:30 until 2 AM. The suspect's vehicle was not located.

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on January 1st on Shumway and Spresser. John R. Dudra of Taylorville backed into Shumway Street from a parking place at Amity. Shandra D. Durbin was waiting in line at a traffic light. Dudra backed into the passenger side of Durbin. No reports of injuries and Dudra was issued a citation for improper backing. 

Taylorville Police responded to a drive away accident on January 1st. A vehicle driven by James E. Davis of Pana was parked outside of 309 W.Vine Street. Sometime between 10PM on December 31st and 11 AM on January 1st, Davis’ vehicle was struck and the side mirror was broken and bent. 

Taylorville Police also responded to a hit and run at an apartment at 218 South Main Street. Darren E. Caulk of Taylorville came outside on January 1st to see his vehicle had been hit. 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on January 3rd. Patricia R. Ruppert of Nokomis was traveling eastbound attempting to turn northbound onto Webster Street. Trevor M. Wingard of Taylorville was traveling westbound on West Park Street. Wingard stated he was going through the intersection on a yellow light when Ruppert turned in front of him causing a collision. A Passenger of Ruppert’s made a statement about “too many vehicles trying to go through yellow lights.” Ruppert was transported to TMH via Dunn’s Ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. All other occupants refused medical.

33 year old Zachary D. Malone of Mount Auburn was arrested on Monday for Domestic Battery and Violation of an order of protection. 

Christian County Sheriff responded to a vehicle accident at 197 N 1250 East Road. 37 year old Joseph Sherman of Springfield was involved in a single vehicle accident with a deer. No injuries were reported.

52 year old Brenda Barker of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for driving while license suspended and driving a vehicle with suspended plates.

VEHICLE ACCIDENTS:

54 year old Rick D. Ballion and 24 Layla K Schuyler of Kincaid were involved in a vehicle accident on Saturday December 26th at N. Brents and W Boyd Street. Both parties were transported to area hospitals. 

On Thursday 18 year old Taylor R. Dees hit a deer at Ridge Street and County Highway 5. No injuries were reported.

26 year old Noah P. Carroll and 26 Jayson A. Tarrant of Morrisonville were involved in a vehicle accident on Saturday at Cedar Street and County Highway 5. Minor injuries were reported. 

Sandra M. Merrifield was involved in a vehicle accident on Friday at 118 W. Franklin Street when Taylorville Police Officer Nichols driving a Taylorville Police Squad scar slid on ice and struck her vehicle. No injuries were reported.

47 year old Kevin W. Wicker of Illiopolis was involved in a single vehicle accident at County Highway 2 and County Highway 22 on Friday. Wicker was transported to an area hospital. 

32 year old Derek W. Jones of Assumption was involved in a single vehicle accident on Monday at 1600 E 1350 North Road. No injuries were reported. 

ARRESTS:

42 year old Matthew Hurley of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for home invasion.

37 year old Breanna L. Alde of Rosamond was arrested on Monday for aggravated domestic battery.

20 year old Larissa D. Swisher of Pana was arrested on Wednesday, December 30th for possession of a controlled substance.

43 year old Melissa Hamilton of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday, December 31st for driving suspended. 

33 year old Brian C. Callan of Blue Mound was arrested on Monday for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

28 year old Regan W. Anderson of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for driving while license suspended.

40 year old Alexis I. Givens of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended. 

39 year old Anna M. Bearup of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday, December 31st for driving with no valid driver’s license.
