Area Arrests And Accidents 2/21/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

37 year old Samantha L. McPeek of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge of leaving the scene of an accident and a 2018 charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

39 year old Timothy Y. Bethard of Morrisonville was arrested on Thursday for domestic battery.

 

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a  2019 charge. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

32 year old Allison M. Grothaus of Springfield was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of theft. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

27 year old Amanda M. Vanostran of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

21 year old Angela N. McKinnon of Kincaid was arrested on Thursday for driving while license suspended.

 

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for a warrant.

 

29 year old Brandon L. Nossem of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license revoked and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver 100g-500g. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash on the evening of February 15th.  Vanessa R. Wiseman of Taylorville was following a minor eastbound on Lincoln Trail to the intersection with Route 48. The minor stopped at the yellow light, and Wiseman struck the rear of the minor’s vehicle.  No injuries were reported. Wiseman received a citation.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Taylorville Police Department handle this crash. The Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday evening. A minor from Taylorville stated she was eastbound East Taylorville Road, Langleyville. The Driver of the vehicle stated that she attempted to avoid a pedestrian in the road and lost control of the vehicle striking the ditch embankment at 405 East Taylorville Road. The vehicle struck the ditch embankment causing damage to the front end and undercarriage. The vehicle’s owner was at the scene and requested a friend remove the vehicle from the ditch/embankment. The vehicle’s owner was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon.
Gary D. Barlow of Taylorville was driving Northbound in the left Northbound lane. Nichole B. San Miguel was driving Northbound in the right Northbound lane. Barlow began to change lanes from left to right. The front passenger panel of Barlows collided with the front driver panel/wheel well of San Miguel’s. San Miguel’s vehicle was towed away. No injuries were reported.

 

On Thursday afternoon, TPD responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash. A minor from Mechanicsburg was traveling westbound on Springfield Road when they slowed for traffic in front of them. Gregory A. Warren of Petersburg was traveling westbound on Springfield Road behind the minor’s vehicle when Warren failed to reduce speed striking the minor’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
