Area Arrests And Accidents 2/7/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

26 year old Clint D. Olson of Moweaqua was arrested on Thursday for possession of a controlled substance. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on January 30th around 8 AM. A minor from Pana was traveling north on 2600 East Road.  At 222 north, the vehicle slid off the roadway due to the roadway being slick. The vehicle collided with the mailbox at 222 N 2600 East Road.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. Dena L. Winchester of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 29 and just past Township Road 1900 N. As she passed the intersection, she began to slide on the snow/ice-covered roadway exiting the roadway to the right before striking the north end of the west guardrail. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate in a clockwise direction before coming to rest facing northwest. The vehicle received major front end damage and Winchester was transported to Springfield Memorial Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Thursday morning. Rebecca L. Hoskins of Taylorville was pulling into a private driveway at 1101 West Coal Street in Taylorville. As she proceeded into the ice-covered driveway, she was unable to stop before striking the front porch area. The vehicle received front end and front panel damage. The porch received damage to the front porch/stair rails. No injuries were reported. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. A minor from Tovey was traveling west on Illinois Route 104 about 1100 East Road. The vehicle lost control on the ice, snow and or slush-covered roadway. The vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into the guardrail on the north side of the highway. The vehicle was towed and the minor’s passenger was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital with injuries.

 

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

30 year old Curtis M. Fuess of Blue Mound was arrested on January 26th for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon.  He was also issued citations for driving while license was suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. He was transported to the detention center for processing.

 

31 year old Jacob L. Meinders of Windsor was arrested on January 26th for aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, battery, and criminal damage to property.  He was transported to the detention center for processing.

 

47 year old Chad R. Hammond of Shelbyville was arrested on January 27th for violation of bail bond.

 

42 year old Frederick D. Pender of Shelbyville was arrested on January 31st for violation of bail bond.
