Matthew Crowder, 25, of Taylorville was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Driving Under the Influence.
6/23/25
James Klinefelter, 72, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department or Violating Order of Protection.
Skyler Myers, 39, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Armed Violence, Possession of Burglary Tools, Residential Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Unlawful Use of Weapon, Revoked/Suspended Registration, Leaving the Scene, and Operate Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

6/9/25 at 11:08 a.m.
Cheryl Peat, 72, of Tovey was backing out of her driveway when another vehicle was parked in her driveway.
6/12/25 at 9:11 p.m.
Annabelle Davison, 18, of blue Mound was traveling South on 1700 North Road and failed to make the jog in the road to the South and continued through the intersection. The vehicle left the roadway and made contact with the ditch to the East on 1500 East. The vehicle left the roadway and made contact with the East Road ditch on 1500 East at the t-intersection and caught on fire after the crash.
6/17/25 at 5:54 a.m.
Unit 1 (Jimmy Crisp, 54, of Morrisonville) and Unit 2 (Brennen Young, 25, of Pawnee)
Unit 1 was traveling West on County Highway 10 and Unit 2 was making a left hand turn off of 00 East Road onto County Highway 10. Unit 1 struck the rear outside wheel on the rear axle of the trailer on Unit 2. Unit 1 came to a stop off the roadway and Unit 2 came to a stop East of the intersection.
6/19/25 at 8:30 a.m.
Unit 1 (Aaron Adams, 35, of Jerseyville) and Unit 2 (Tucker Beckmier, 46, of Morrisonville)
Unit 2 was driving South in the Casey’s General Store parking lot in Morrisonville and Unit 1 was backing out of a parking spot in the same parking lot. Unit 1 backed into Unit 2 in the parking lot; Unit 1 had damage to the passenger side rear bumper and Unit 2 had damage to the passenger side rear bumper and bed corner.
6/20/25 at 11:08 p.m.
Nicholas Stoutamyer, 60, of Edinburg was traveling Eastbound on 2300 North Road near 1000 East Road when a deer entered the roadway from the South. The deer struck the passenger side rear quarter panel.

James M. Biggers, age 42, of Taylorville, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
Julia D. Hrabak, age 40, of Taylorville, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Alexis I. Givens, age 44, of Taylorville, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Skyler J. Myers, age 39, of Taylorville, was arrested for Burglary, Armed Violence and Possession of Burglary Tools.
The Taylorville Police investigated the following crashes:
June 12th 3:44 PM East Park Street. Delora L. Stolz of Mt Auburn was parked at the Driver's License Facility and going for a test drive. When Stolz put the vehicle in reverse, they came into contact with a light pole. Stolz told police that the the brake pedal was to the bottom of the floor. No injuries were reported.
June 13th 9:49 PM. Lake Shore and Eastwood. Kason S. Long of Taylorville was heading southeast on West Lake Shore Drive. Long says he was approaching the curve too fast and lost control on the wet road, skidding into the left hand ditch. No injuries were reported.
June 18th 4:55 AM. Nort Webster. Isidora P. Morales of Taylorville was heading west on Pleasant Street and didn't stop at the intersection continuing through and across a grass lawn before striking a garage on the rear parking lot of 400 N Webster Street. The driver was issued four citations. No injuries were reported.
