Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 11/12/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

On Monday afternoon, Taylor W. Macdonald of Harvel was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48, 3/10 of a mile south of Clarksdale. Ronald J. Wright of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 48 and was approximately a quarter of a mile south of Clarksdale. Macdonald stated she was approaching the car in front of her and applied her brakes to slow down. After applying her brakes, she lost control on the icy/snow-covered roadway, crossed the center line, and struck Wright’s vehicle. The impact caused Macdonald to spin counter-clockwise and come to rest on the east side shoulder facing south. After impact, Macdonald came to rest in the west ditch, facing southeast. Both vehicles received major damage, both Macdonald and her passenger were transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for possible injuries.

 

On October 26th, Bethany L. Morse of Moweaqua was westbound on County Highway 4. At the intersection of 2225 East Road, Morse failed to negotiate a right turn curve continuing straight and left the roadway striking the ditch embankment. The vehicle received front end damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

On November 7th, Scott H. Humble of Clinton stated he was north bound on US Highway 51 Humble stated a deer ran into the side of his vehicle causing the side airbags to deploy. No injuries were reported.

 

Dennis D Braeuninger of Pawnee was westbound on Township Road 1350 N on the evening of November 7th. Braeuninger stated that he was ¼ mile west of County Road 5 and stated that a deer ran into the side of his truck. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident the evening of November 7th. Sherri R. Fry reporting hitting a deer around 1550 east on 350 North Road. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of November 8th. Mckenzie R. Sneed of Taylorville reported hitting a coyote northwest on IL Route 29 at approximately 1749 N. Driver. Taylorville Fire Department was called out due to fluids leaking from the bottom of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of November 9th on 2000 North Road (County 4). The driver, a minor from Moweaqua turned southbound on 2225 East Road sliding off the east side of the roadway over correcting and hitting the ditch on the west side of the roadway, hitting a county highway/no passing zone sign. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of November 9th. A minor from Assumption was traveling westbound on 600 North Road at approximately 2650 E, the driver lost control skidding from the north side to the south side, overcorrecting and hitting the ditch before overturning onto the passenger side of the vehicle at the ditch bank where it came to a stop. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon. Vanessa I. Patkus of Nokomis was traveling southbound on 1250 East Road. Approximately 500 feet south of 300 North Road, tried slowing down driving off the west side of the roadway, going through a deep ditch and striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle collision on Illinois Route 16 and 2700 East Road. Ethan W. Foster of Pana collided with Jeffery P. Tonn of Watson. No injuries were reported.

 

44 year old Steven E. Maxvill of Springfield was arrested on Friday on a 2nd driving, revoked/suspended charge. Bond was set by the court at $10,000. 


38 year old Veronica A. Sroczynski of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge for contempt of court. Bond was set at $800.

 

29 year old Jeremy R. Masters of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

19 year old Brittany L. Jones of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for battery, aggravated battery, and criminal damage to state property. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Holly J. Layton of Taylorville of Taylorville reported that on the evening of November 9th she struck a deer on Illinois Route 29 just north of the intersection of Kennedy Road. No injuries were reported.

 

33 year old Matthew Morrissey of Stonington was arrested for driving revoked.

 

24 year old Coady L. Hamilton of Springfield was arrested on Sunday for public intoxication.

 

A juvenile male and female of Taylorville were arrested on Saturday for possession/consumption of liquor in violation of Taylorville City Ordinance.

 

18 year old Ryleigh L. Hurley of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Rachel L. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Felicity N. Knott of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

19 year old Trevor A. Scott of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for possession consumption of liquor (under 21).

 

46 year old Tammi G. Brown of Kincaid was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle with suspended registration. 

 

29 year old Amanda S. Coghlan of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended.

 

22 year old Austin L. Mayes of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for disorderly conduct.

 

19 year old Brittany L. Jones of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for criminal damage to state supported property, aggravated battery, and battery.

 

29 year old Jeremy Masters of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County Warrant.

 

30 year old Lacey M. Myers of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended.

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 17 EMS calls between 9 AM on Friday and 9 AM on Tuesday.
