Area Arrests And Accidents 1/7/21

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

30 year old Derek R. Samson of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a FTA warrant for Criminal Damage to Property. 

 

47 year old Steven M. Frazier of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for Aggravated Domestic Battery.

 

58 year old Pamela S. Chasteen of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a FTA warrant for driving suspended/revoked.

 

42 year old Joseph R. Hadley of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for resisting/obstructing an officer.

 

53 year old Troy B. Crowder of Tovey was arrested on Thursday for fleeing police and driving suspended/revoked. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

34 year old Carl Gray of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for criminal trespass. 

 

58 year old Pamela Chasteen of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a Christian County Warrant.

 

ACCIDENTS:

 

38 year old Eric S. Jones of Huntingdon, Tennessee was traveling eastbound on December 29th on Bidwell Street and was turning northbound onto Snodgrass Street. The Semitrailer struck a utility pole. The pole was broken. Upon further investigation it was discovered another vehicle may have struck the pole earlier in the morning. No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville Police also investigated a crash on December 31st on Spresser Street. John R. Paine of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Spresser Street and was approaching the intersection of Clearing Avenue. Thomas A. Carter of Morrisonville was on Clearing Avenue and was waiting to turn left onto Spresser Street.  Carter did not see Payne and turned into the intersection, causing a collision.  Both units were able to drive away from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident drive away on West Spresser on January 1st. Mikayla P. Felton of Taylorville reported that she was parked in the parking lot of the Funky Monkey and that she did not notice damage to her vehicle until she arrived home. Felton said that she was parked in the parking lot from 11:30 until 2 AM. The suspect's vehicle was not located.

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle crash on January 1st on Shumway and Spresser. John R. Dudra of Taylorville backed into Shumway Street from a parking place at Amity. Shandra D. Durbin was waiting in line at a traffic light. Dudra backed into the passenger side of Durbin. No reports of injuries and Dudra was issued a citation for improper backing. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a drive away accident on January 1st. A vehicle driven by James E. Davis of Pana was parked outside of 309 W.Vine Street. Sometime between 10PM on December 31st and 11 AM on January 1st, Davis’ vehicle was struck and the side mirror was broken and bent. 

 

Taylorville Police also responded to a hit and run at an apartment at 218 South Main Street. Darren E. Caulk of Taylorville came outside on January 1st to see his vehicle had been hit. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on January 3rd. Patricia R. Ruppert of Nokomis was traveling eastbound attempting to turn northbound onto Webster Street. Trevor M. Wingard of Taylorville was traveling westbound on West Park Street. Wingard stated he was going through the intersection on a yellow light when Ruppert turned in front of him causing a collision. A Passenger of Ruppert’s made a statement about “too many vehicles trying to go through yellow lights.” Ruppert was transported to TMH via Dunn’s Ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. All other occupants refused medical.
