13CF130 - Jeremy C. Christian - 6 Counts of Possession of Meth Precursor Without a Prescription - Petition to Revoke / Pre-trial. Defendant has done well in treatment. Both sides ask for a court review. 402 conference scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on October 26, with pre-trial at 10 a.m. that morning.

 

16CF128 - Devon J. Newman - Possession of Cannabis Between 30 and 500 Grams, Fleeing / Attempting to Elude an Officer, and Resisting a Peace Officer - Pre-trial. Also multiple traffic charges. Defense counsel is withdrawing from the case, defendant is in process of hiring new attorney. Next court date scheduled for October 26 at 10 a.m.

Also 17CF128 - Receiving Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and multiple traffic charges. State has made an offer, defendant is looking to get a drug court referral. Pre-trial continued until October 2 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF133 - Nicholas T. Abbott - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams - Pre-trial. State gives an offer to defendant. Motion to continue jury trial is made. Motion is granted to continue jury trial until November, and final pre-trial scheduled for October 23 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF201 - Brandy L. Miles - Burglary - Motion to Reduce Bail. Defendant testifies on her own behalf. Defense counsel asks for recognizance bond or furlough to get treatment for cocaine addiction. Motion to get a furlough to get into treatment is granted. She will be taken to rehab once a bed is available.

 

17CF203 - Scott H. Patnode - Suspicion of DUI - Motion to Reduce Bail. Motion is withdrawn. Preliminary hearing scheduled for October 24 at 10 a.m.

Probation extended to pay off money owed to court, and new payment order is set. Next court date scheduled for January 17 at 9 a.m.

17CM124 - Christopher J. Johnson - Resisting a Peace Officer - First Appearance. Defendant will have a hearing in another case on October 3 at 9 a.m. This matter continued until that date.

17CF190 - Markes N. Rodgers - Attempted Murder - Motion to Reduce Bail. Defendant testifies on his own behalf. Bond reduction is denied. Preliminary hearing already scheduled for October 3 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF194 - Larry L. Scott - Attempted Murder - Motion to Reduce Bail and Status Hearing. Defense counsel advised defendant of potential conflict last night. Defendant wants to keep him on case and would waive conflict of interest. But whether the conflict can be waived or not is not known yet. Status hearing set for September 29 at 10 a.m., preliminary hearing remains scheduled for October 3 at 10 a.m.

 

2017CF136 - Jesse W. Demascal - Criminal Damage to Property Between $500 and $10,000 and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon - First appearance. Also 17CM073 - Criminal Damage to Property Less Than $300. Charges were read. Next court date scheduled for October 31 at 10 a.m.

PD Grigsby may have a conflict as he is representing a witness on another felony matter. Status on that set for September 21 at 10 a.m. Bond motion will also be heard on September 21.

 

16CF226 - Pamela Rozplochowski - Possession of a Stolen Vehicle - Appearance with Counsel. Also 16CF104 - Theft Under $500 With a Prior and 16CF021 - Retail Theft Less Than $300. She will be furloughed to mental health treatment center, and will be ordered to wear a GPS device. Next appearance scheduled for November 2 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF112 - David W. Moore, Jr. - Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Aggravated Battery of a Pregnant/Handicapped Person. Also multiple traffic charges. Pre-trial. Negotiated open plea is reached. He will plead guilty to both counts. Factual basis is given. The case will be referred to problem solving court.

 

27CF152 - Nathaniel Z. Bain - 2 Counts of Narcotics Possession - Pre-trial. Defense will not be ready for trial in November, looking for additional discovery. Jury trial now set for December, next pre-trial set for September 29 at 10 a.m.

 

16CF182 - Michael D. White - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams. Pre-trial. Also 16CF121 - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams and 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Next court date set for September 28 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF134 - Sarah M. Hopping - Aggravated Identity Theft Person Over Age 60 - Appearance with Counsel. Preliminary hearing is waived. Arraignment is waived, pre-trial only set for October 17 at 10 a.m.

17CF183 - Pamela K. Benedict - Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer - Status hearing. Also 17CM113 - Disorderly Conduct and Resisting a Peace Officer and 15CM235 - Disorderly Conduct. 17CF010 - Robert D. Burke - 4 Counts of Burglary - Status Hearing. An open plea is reached. He will plead guilty to all four counts. The case will be deferred to problem-solving court, and he will pay restitution to be agreed upon at a later date. Factual basis was given.

 

17CF056 - Erica K. Cunitz - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams - Petition to Revoke / First Appearance. Next court date scheduled for November 16 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF051 - Charles T. Lee - Meth Delivery Between 15 and 100 Grams and Aggravated Meth Delivery Between 15 and 100 Grams - Pre-trial. Negotiated Plea is reached. He will be sentenced to 18 years in prison with 3 years of parole. No more charges will be filed as part of the plea. Factual basis was given.

 

17CF190 - Markes N. Rodgers - Attempted Murder - Motion to Reduce Bail. Defense counsel asks for probation to conduct risk assessment of defendant. Bond reduction motion continued until September 21 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF184 - Michael P. Shilling - Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault - Motion to Reduce Bail. Motion to be continued generally until after preliminary hearing scheduled for October 2 at 10 a.m.
