Christian County Court Cases 8/31/23

The following cases were heard on August 31st, 2023:

Count II dismissed pursuant to negotiated plea.Judgment of conviction entered. By agreement, Defendant sentenced to two years probation, two days in the county jail with credit for one day served, and he is ordered to pay the fines and assessments as set forth in the financial sentencing order. Christian County Court Cases 8/29/23

The following cases were heard on 8/29/23:

 

Samantha Abbott: Defendant present with counsel and Asst. State's Attorney present. Defendant successfully completed treatment. By agreement, probation period extended to 6/20/24, and based on that, the State's motion to withdraw the PTR is granted. Attorney only status hearing set 6/21/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Lacy Austin: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 10/24/23 at 10 a.m. State has answered discovery and will make a plea offer.

 

Christopher Carnahan: Defendant present in person with Assistant Public Defender Grigsby
and Assistant State's Attorney DePaepe. By agreement, probation terminated and Defendant ordered released from custody. All balances owed in all cases forwarded to collections.

 

Alex Collingwood: Defendant present with counsel in custody on warrant and State's Attorney present. Defendant turned himself in on the warrant. By agreement, Defendant ordered released on a $25,000 OR bond. Defendant ordered to immiediately report to the probation department upon his release and submit to alcohol and drug testing. Drew Collins: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. Petition to revoke withdrawn on motion of the State due to his compliance. Counsel only status hearing scheduled for 2/2/24 at 10 a.m.

Negotiated plea presented and approved by the Court, whereby Defendant pleads guilty to the charge of criminal trespass to motor vehicle (Count II). Count I dismissed pursuant to negotiated plea. Judgment of conviction entered. By agreement, Defendant sentenced to 60 days in the county jail with credit for 30 days served as ordered to pay the financial obligations. Bradley Gobert: Defendant present in person with PD Senger and ASA DePaepe present. Case dismissed on motion of the State based upon the request of the alleged victim. No fuurther settings.

Patrick Weaver: Defendant present in custody of DHS with Public defender and State's Attorney present. Parties stipulate to the report of DHS and Court finds Defendant is unfit to stand trial without any substantial probability of attaining fitness within one year. State requests additional time to determine how it wishes to proceed with the charges given this ruling. Christian County Cases 8/18/23

The following cases were heard on August 18th, 2023:

 

William Dixon: Special Prosecutor Havera for the people; Defendant in custody of Christian County Jail with APD Grigsby. APD Grigsby is going to get more details on services available for Defendant; matter reset to 8/21/23 at 10 a.m. when Special Prosecutor Kroenke will be present.

 

Justin Moma: ASA LD; Defendant appears via Zoom in treatment with Attorney Herkert; State files an objection to conduction a hearing on motion for Recog Bond as it was not noticed up for today.
