17CF106 - Holly M. Hapner - Theft with Intent between $500 and $10,000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Preliminary Hearing is waived. Formal arraignment is waived as well, and not guilty plea is entered. Defense asks for a pre-trial only at this point. Pre-trial scheduled for July 20th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF105 - Nathan A. Hapner - Theft with Intent between $500 and $10,000 - Preliminary Hearing is waived. Formal arraignment is waived. Defendant pleads not guilty. Jury trial requested and scheduled for September. Pre-trial scheduled for August 21 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF030 - Brian D. Taylor - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams - Petition to Revoke / Pre-trial. Not in court. Warrant issued, $5,000 bond set.

 

17CF107 - Cameron Hudgins - Criminal Trespassing to Residence -  Negotiated plea. Defendant will plead guilty to new misdemeanor charge of Criminal Trespassing. He will serve 90 days in jail plus serve reinstated probation after that.

 

17CF112 - David Moore - Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer and Aggravated Battery of a Disabled Person - First appearance with counsel. Preliminary hearing scheduled for July 13th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF087 - Krystin Rodman - Theft with Intent between $500 and $10,000. Negotiated plea. Will plead guilty to misdemeanor theft. She will serve 24 days in jail and two years probation. Next court date scheduled for August 2 at 9 a.m.

17CF107 - Cameron M. Hudgins - Criminal Trespassing to Residence with Person Present - First Appearance with Counsel. Also 15CF022 - Burglary and 15CM020 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. State has made an offer, looking to continue case until tomorrow. Case rescheduled for June 20th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF052 - Cynthia R. Karrick - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams - Pre-trial. Also 16CF144 - Meth Delivery less than 5 grams and Possession of Meth less than 5 grams. Pre-trial continued until July 11th at 10 a.m.

 

14CF079 - Gayle L. Miller - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams - Petition to Revoke / Pre-trial. Also 16CM223 - Bad Check.

 

14CF183 - Frohmader, Harland F. - Burglary - Petition to Revoke / Pre-trial. Status given on probation. Next court appearance set for September 18th at 10 a.m.

 

David W. Moore - Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer and Aggravated Battery of a Disabled Person, more charges possibly coming - First Appearance. Probable cause given. Bond set at $15,000. Public defender is appointed. Next appearance scheduled for tomorrow at 10 a.m.

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Friday, June 16th:

 

17CF042 - Blake A. Griffin - Failure to Report as a Sex Offender - Pre-trial. Negotiated plea is reached. Sentenced to 180 days in jail and would be put on probation for two years. Next court date is October 18th at 9 a.m.

 

16CF127 - Patricia H. Horn - Retail Theft - Pre-trial. Trial set for August 14th at 8:30 a.m., pre-trial set for July 24th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF100 - Quinton L. Morrissey - 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery - Reading of Murder charge waived. Preliminary Hearing continued until July 25th at 11 a.m.

 

17CF087 - Krystin D. Rodman  - Theft with Intent between $500 and $10,000. Plea. Also, 17CM057 - Theft with Intent less than $500. Warrant issued for her arrest, bond set for $10,000.

 

16CF042 - Robert A. Stivers - 2 Counts of Murder and Aggravated Battery - Pre-trial. Also 15CF165 - Failure to Report an Accident with Injury and DUI, and  15CF204 - DUI. Expert opinions and reports were expected to be in today, but they are not in. Next pre-trial scheduled for July 24th at 10 a.m. Trial pushed back to October 10 at 8:30 a.m., was scheduled for September.

 

Christian County Court Cases 6/15/17

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Thursday, June 15th:

 

16CF164 - Patrick A. Acree - Attempt to Disarm a Police Officer and Failure to Report an Accident with Injury - Pre-trial. Defendant was just released in Macon County. Two sides looking to negotiate a plea. Next court date set for July 24th at 10 a.m.

 

16CF086 - Jerry D. Archer - Two counts of Cocaine Delivery between 1 and 15 grams - Preliminary Hearing is waived. New third count of Possession of a Controlled Substance introduced, that will be the charge the defendant pleads guilty to. Other two Delivery charges are dismissed. Sentenced to 2 years of probation.

 

14CF180 - Brock A. Drockton - Possession of a Controlled Substance - Appearance with Counsel. Next court date set for August 22nd at 10 a.m.

 

16CF236 - Danny L. Rose - Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of less than 5 grams of Meth, Harassing an Animal with a Vehicle, Taking Birds/Mammals Along Highway, Unlawful Transport of a Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of Wildlife Parts. State has made an offer. Trial date set for August 14th, next pre-trial set for July 6th, where an agreement could be reached.

 

14CF178 - Sean M. Rush - Obstructing Justice / Destroying Evidence - PTR Pre-trial. Negotiated plea has been reached. Re-sentenced to one year of probation.

 

17CF065 - Robert L. Scott - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams. - Preliminary Hearing is waived. Defendant pleads not guilty. Pre-trial scheduled for July 20th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF110 - Jacob O. Banning - Domestic Battery with a Prior - First appearance with counsel. Preliminary hearing scheduled for July 7th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF107 - Cameron M. Hudgins - Criminal Trespassing with Person Present - Petition to Revoke. State has made an offer to defendant. At this time, defense asks for preliminary hearing scheduled for June 19th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF022 - Justin L. Marlow - Domestic Battery -  First appearance. Public Defender appointed. Preliminary hearing scheduled for July 11th at 10 a.m.

17CM013 - James T. Eiskant - Criminal Trespassing to Residence - Pre-trial. Plea agreed upon. Defendant will plead guilty to the charge, and will have to pay fines and fees. Pay or appear hearing scheduled for July 19 at 9 a.m.

 

17CF042 - Blake A. Griffin - Failure to Report as a Sex Offender - Status Hearing. Preliminary hearing is waived. Not guilty plea entered. Next court date scheduled for June 16th at 10 a.m.

 

16CF002 - Gregory L. Price - Aggravated Battery - First appearance with counsel. Case is continued, next court date is set for June 20th at 11 a.m.

 

17CF086 - Rebecca A. Russell - Retail Theft - First appearance. Public defender appointed. Next court date set for July 13th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF109 - Justin M. Bright - First appearance on new charges. Criminal Trespassing to a Residence and 2 counts of Battery. Preliminary hearing on new counts set for July 11 at 10 a.m., same date as Pre-trial in his 17CF008 case.

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Monday, June 12th:

 

17CF098 - Paul E. Allen - Criminal Damage to Property $300 to $10,000 and Domestic Battery - Preliminary Hearing and Bond Reduction Motion - Pana Police Officer Richard Rahar testified that he responded to the incident. He says he’s dealt with several incidents regarding the victim and defendant. He says he estimates that the damage done to the car is around $1,000. Waived formal arraignment on the Domestic Battery Charge. Asking for July jury trial. Trial is set for August 13th at 8:30 a.m. Final pre-trial is set for August 1st at 10 a.m. In bond reduction, Allen testified on his own behalf. Asking for bond reduction to $5,000. Motion is denied.

 

17CF001 - Thomas M.J. Foster - Unlawful Possession of a Firearm as a Felon - Plea agreement has been reached. Defendant entered open guilty plea. Sentencing hearing will be held Monday, July 31st at 1:15.

 

17CF051 - Charles T. Lee - Meth Delivery between 15 and 100 grams and Aggravated Meth Delivery between 15 and 100 grams - Pre-trial. Continued until July 11th at 10 a.m. Other matters possible in other counties.

17CF099 - Jospeh A Leckner - Aggravated Battery on a Police Office - Motion to Reduce Bail. Bail reduction hearing continued until after Preliminary hearing, which is set for July 7th.

 

17CF102 - Brenton A. Evans - Criminal Damage to Property between $300 and $10,000.  Motion to Reduce Bail. Defendant testified on his own behalf. Bond reduced to $2,500. Next court date set for June 16th.

Preliminary hearing scheduled for June 20th at 10 a.m. Motion for Bond Reduction also made. Hearing scheduled for June 12th at 10 a.m. Furlough order for Heroin Detox put in.

17CF036 - Rodney G. Smith - Aggravated Domestic Battery and 2 counts of Home Invasion Causing Injury - Pre-trial. Also 17CF006 - DUI - Pre-trial. Negotiated plea reached. Will plead guilty to Criminal Trespassing to residence and Domestic Battery. Would be sentences to 2 years probation. Factual Basis given.

 

17CF105 - Nathan Hapner and Holly Hill - Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance - First appearance. Charges were read to the defendants. Probable cause was given. Bonds are set at $15,000 each. Both appointed public defenders. First appearance with counsel for both is set for June 9th at 10 a.m.


17CF005 - Kody Campbell - Burglary - Negotiated Plea. He will plead guilty to the burglary charge. No judgment of conviction entered, and the sentence hearing was stayed. Campbell was entered into the Problem Solving (drug) Court.

17CF099 - Joseph A. Leckner - Aggravated Battery - First Appearance. Also 17CF054 - Failure to Register as a Violent Offender - Pre-trial, and many traffic violations. New charge read to Leckner. Probable cause is found. Bond set at an additional $30,000, and defense has intent to file a bond reduction. Motion to preserve possible video of incident to put into discovery granted. Asking for preliminary hearing on new Aggravated Battery charge. Pre-trial on 17CF054 and preliminary hearing on 17CF099 set for July 7th at 10 a.m.

 

16CF094 - Tommie E. Nagle - Narcotics Delivery - Pre-trial. Plea agreed upon. Sentence will be 90 days in jail subject to remission and two years probation. Next court date scheduled for August 9th at 9 a.m. to set up court payments.

 

17CF043 - Jerry L. Shaff - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams and Criminal Damage to Property between $300 and $10,000 - Pre-trial. Continued until July 7th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF036 - Rodney G. Smith - Aggravated Domestic Battery and 2 counts of Home Invasion Causing Injury - Pre-trial. Also 17CF006 DUI, Pre-trial and 17CM002 - Domestic Battery and Interfering the Reporting of Domestic Violence. Pre-trial continued until June 8th at 10 a.m.

16CF198- Jarred L. Lawrence - Burglary - Pre-trial. Plea agreed upon. Sentenced to 180 days in Christian County Correctional Center and two years probation. 16CM107 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge would be dismissed as part of the plea.

 

17CM045 - Gary A. Lyerla - Theft - Status Hearing. Plea agreement reached. Must pay off fines and fees. Pay review hearing set for November 8th at 9 a.m.

 

17CF040 - Christopher L. Morgason - Domestic Battery (Prior) - Pre-trial. Also 13CF009 - Aggravated Domestic Battery - Petition to Revoke. Petition to Revoke hearing scheduled for June 9th at 11 a.m., next pre-trial scheduled for same time.

 

17CM052 - Cody N. Durbin - Battery - First appearance with counsel. Formal arraignment is waived, and defendant pleads not guilty. Pre-trial set for July 11th at 10 a.m., no jury trial set at this time.

 

17CF100 - Quinton L. Morrisey Jr. - Aggravated Battery - First appearance with counsel. Defense requests preliminary hearing. Preliminary hearing scheduled for June 16th at 10 a.m.

 

17CM066 - Christopher R.T. Ager - Domestic Battery and Interference of Report of Domestic Violence - First appearance. Charges were read. Bond is set at $5,000. Status hearing set for Monday, June 5th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF101 - Brett M. Bryson - Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams - First appearance. Bond set at $7,500. Defendant wants time to look for an attorney, but may ask for public defender. First appearance with counsel set for July 3rd at 10 a.m.

14CF065 - Ashley N. Akins - Meth Precursor < 15 grams - PTR / First Appearance. State offered an additional eight months of probation, same terms as previous probation to admit petition to revoke. Defense admits petition to revoke.

 

17CF081 - Deven A. Barger - Felony Possession and Use of a Firearm - Preliminary Hearing. Also 17CF047 - Aggravated Fleeing - Pre-trial. Preliminary hearing in 17CF081 is waived. Negotiated plea is agreed upon, but defendant has pending charges in Shelby County. Defense requests 30-day continuance to settle Shelby County cases, next court date scheduled for July 6th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF062 -  Christopher A. Ellinger - Fail to Report Annually - Preliminary Hearing scheduled, defense asks to waive hearing, entering not guilty plea. Requesting July trial date. Final pre-trial set for July 6th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF001 - Thomas M. J. Foster - Felony Possession and Use of a Firearm - Pre-trial. Jury trial scheduled for June. State has made offers to defendant. Need more time to go over them. Next pre-trial set for June 6th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF059 - Danielle L. Johnson - 3 Counts of Narcotics Possession - Preliminary hearing scheduled, but was waived. Formal arraignment waived, pleading not guilty. No jury trial date set, next pre-trial set for June 27th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF069 - David K. Matthews - Aggravated Meth Manufacturing 15<100 grams - Preliminary Hearing. State has made an offer to defendant. Asked for and granted continuance, scheduled for June 6th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF079 - Ryan D. Nance - Aggravated Robbery with Firearm and Domestic Battery - Motion to Reduce Bail. Looking to continue that motion. Next pre-trial scheduled for July 6th at 10 a.m. No new date set on the motion.

 

16CF008 - John S. Reynolds - Theft Ring less than $300 - Pre-trial. Also 16CF136 - Possession of a Controlled Substance and Violating an Order of Protection - Pre-trial and 16CF211 - Possession of Meth less than 5 grams - Pre-trial. Reynolds is in IDOC custody in a Madison County case. Some discussion of a concurrent sentence with the Madison County case, but nothing is agreed on yet. Next court date scheduled for July 10th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF028 - Toni K. Sherman - Aggravated Battery - Arraignment. Both parties are negotiating a sentence, waiving formal arraignment. Next court date set for July 13th at 10 a.m.

 

17CM004 - Shane R. Trudeau - Domestic Battery - Pre-trial. Defense is looking for additional pre-trial for next week, also considering a motion to dismiss the case because of lack of evidence. Jury trial set for July. Final pre-trial set for July 11th at 10 a.m.

 

16CM226 - Brian J. Windell - Retail Theft less than $300 - Pre-trial. State has made an offer to defense. Defense asks for pre-trial continuance. Next court date scheduled for July 28th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF100 - Quinton L. Morrisey Jr. - Aggravated Battery - First appearance. Charges were read, along with possible sentences. Probable cause found, bond is set at $500,000. First appearance with counsel set for June 2nd at 10 a.m.
