17CF116 - Angela K. Bork - Criminal Trespassing to Residence with Person Present and Criminal Damage to Property Between $300 and $10,000 - Preliminary hearing. Not present. Warrant issued over objection of PD Grigsbey.
17CF123 - Dylan L. Carroll - Aggravated Battery - Motion to Reduce Bail. Also 16CF091 - Threatening a Public Official and Resisting a Peace Officer - Pre-trial, 16CF204 - Criminal Damage to Government Property Less Than $500 - Pre-trial, and two traffic charges. Defendant sworn to testify on his own behalf. Bond motion denied. Defense would like 30 days to receive new offer that includes newest charge. Next pre-trial scheduled for October 19 at 10 a.m.
17CM099 - Phillip J. Carter - Disorderly Conduct - First Appearance with Counsel. Formal arraignment is waived, not guilty plea entered. Jury trial scheduled for December, pre-trial scheduled for November 20 at 10 a.m.
17CF106 - Holly M. Hapner - Theft Between $500 and $10,000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Pre-trial. State has proposed an offer, and defense has proposed a counter offer. Next pre-trial scheduled for October 19 at 10 a.m.
17CM083 - Walter D. Harker - Criminal Damage to Property Less Than $300 - Pre-trial. State looking for more time to hear from victim about restitution. Pre-trial scheduled for October 20 at 10 a.m.
17CF156 - Joseph A. Leckner - Residential Arson - Pre-trial. Also 17CF129 - Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Penal Institution, 17CF099 - Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer, 17CF054 - Failing to Register as a Violent Offender, and multiple traffic charges. Jury trial set for November, state will proceed on Residential Arson charge for that trial. Final pre-trial scheduled for October 26 at 10 a.m.
17CM081 - James T. Melvin - Possession of Cannabis Between 30 and 100 Grams - First Appearance with Counsel. Formal arraignment waived, not guilty plea entered. Next court appearance scheduled for September 21 at 1:15.
17CM123 - James B. Middleton - Battery and Assault - First Appearance. Also a traffic charge. Charges were read to defendant. Defendant will look to speak with state. Next court appearance scheduled for October 12 at 10 a.m.
17CF173 - Scott H. Patnode - Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Between 50 and 200 Grams - First Appearance. Also 17CF151 - Possession of a Meth Precursor Without a Prescription - Preliminary hearing. Charge in 17CF173 was read. Preliminary hearing in 17CF151 is waived. Formal arraignment is waived. Not guilty plea entered and requested trial by jury. Jury trial scheduled for January, pre-trial scheduled for January 23 at 10 a.m. Preliminary hearing in 17CF173 scheduled for October 24 at 10 a.m.
17CF043 - Jerry L. Shaff - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams and Criminal Damage to Property Between $300 and $10,000 - Pre-trial. Negotiated plea is reached. He will plead guilty to charge one and be sentenced to two years probation. If he completes probation, no conviction will be entered. Criminal Damage to Property Charge will be dismissed.
17CF147 - Jesse Shellenbarger - Narcotics Possession - Preliminary hearing. Also 17CM082 - Contributing to Criminal Deliquency of a Minor - First Appearance with Counsel. Preliminary hearing is waived. Formal arraignment is waived. Defense pleads not guilty and asks for pre-trial only. State has made an offer. Pre-trial scheduled for September 21 at 10 a.m.
17CF091 - Michael P. Shilling - 7 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography - Pre-trial. New case and charge will be filed by state. Next pre-trial and first appearance on new charge will be set for September 8 at 10 a.m.
