Christopher W. Barnes pretrial hearing continued to 10/31/24

 

Ashlyn N. Hrabak petition to revoke pretrial release in exchange for a furlough for inpatient treatment. defendant released from custody until Friday. 

 

Derek B. Jackson negotiated plea set for 11/22/24

 

Amanda J. Johanningmeier final pretrial hearing set for 1/21/25.  Jury trial set for 2/3/25.  

 

 

Christian County Court Cases 10/22/24

The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on Tuesday, October 22nd. 

 

Anthony D. Benavides presents negotiated plea in petition to revoke.  Probation sentence revoked.  and sentenced to two years in IDOC followed by 6 months mandatory supervised release to be served at the rate of 50% with credit for 87 days. 

 

Daniel Davis preliminary hearing set for 11/21

 

James T. Eiskant state anticipates filing a new charge. final pretrial set for 2/18/25, jury trial scheduled for 3/3/25 and preliminary hearing set for 11/07/24

 

Gary J. Foreman.  final pretrial hearing set for 11/19/24 jury trial set for 12/2/24. 

 

Amanda J. Johanningmeier petition to modify set for 10/24

 

Heather N. Jones appearance set for 11/19/24

 

John L. Manning preliminary hearing set for 12/20/24

 

Edward P. Misiorek Pretrial hearing continued to 12/10/24

Ashley N. Getz Pretrial continued for 11/19/24

 

Matthew E. Golitko.  pleads guilty to reckless conduct.  sentenced to 24 months probation.  Fines and fees, no contact order, and probation monitoring. 

 

Steven D. Kilcrease First appearance with counsel and preliminary hearing November 26th.

Ajanema M Nettles: Christian County State's Attorney's Verified Petition to Deny Defendant's Pretrial Release filed by the State. First appearance set for 10/09/2024 at 10:00 in courtroom A.

Christian County Court Cases 10/8/24

The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on September 17th.

 

Brian D Colson: 

Defendant present remotely with counsel and State's Attorney present. In person sentencing hearing scheduled for 12/16/2024 at 1:15 PM. Defendant advises he will be soon entering into inpatient treatment

 

James B Middleton: 

The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on September 17th.

Defendant present in person and in custody on new charges with APD Freezeland and State's Attorney present. Defendant admonished regarding charges and possible penalties. State files a petition to deny pretrial release, but then withdraws same for reasons stated on the record. By agreement, Defendant ordered released from custody subject to the terms of the conditions of release order. Defendant admonished regarding right to appeal and consequences for non-compliance. By agreement, Public defender appointed to represent Defendant, subject to reimbursement. Defendant provides updated address. In person preliminary hearing scheduled for 12/02/2024 at 10 AM. See written order.

Christian County Court Cases 10/7/24

The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on September 17th.

 

Brandon M DeClerck- 

SA. D PRESENT IN CUSTODY WITH ATTY CALVERT. D CONFESSES THE STATE PTR. D ALSO WAIVES PRELIM. PLEADS NOT N.G. DEMANDS J/T. P/T / STATUS ON OCT 29, 2024 @ 830.

 

William A Merrifield- Defendant present in person and in custody with APD Friesland and PD Senger. State's Attorney Present. Defendant admonished regarding charges and possible penalties. Case called for hearing on the petition to deny pretrial release. Proffer made and witness sworn. Arguments heard. For reasons stated on the record, Court finds probable cause for the arrest and detention of the Defendant and further finds that the State has met its burden of proof regarding
the petition to deny pretrial release. That petition is granted. Defendant is denied pretrial release. See written order. By agreement, Public defender appointed to represent Defendant. In
person preliminary hearing scheduled for 10/29/2024 at 10 AM.

 

 

Christian County Court Cases 10/4/24

The following court cases were heard on Thursday, October 4th.  This list is not exclusive. 

 

James D Franklin -Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, final pretrial hearing scheduled for 1-21-25 at 1:15 PM. Jury trial is scheduled for 2-3-25 at 8:30 AM. Both hearings are in person. Parties ordered to file pretrial motions at least 30 days before the jury trial to be heard at the final pretrial hearing.
Trial in absentia admonition given. Defendant indicates he is hiring attorney Farr.

 

Chade E McKittrick- Defendant present remotely with counsel and State's Attorney present. In person hearing on the petitions to revoke scheduled for 12/09/2024 at 1:15 PM. The petitions are based, in part, on pending charges in Shelby County. Defendant admonished regarding hearing in his absence.

 

Donald R Minard- Parties present by counsel. It is unclear but Public defender
believes Defendant has been transferred to DHS custody for fitness restoration services. Counsel only status scheduled for 11/08/2024 at 10 AM.

 

Jadin F Snow- Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 12/13/2024 at 10 AM. Per OSPS, Defendant in compliance with all release conditions and no change is sought.

 

Issac J Vargas- Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, final pretrial hearing scheduled for 12-17-24 at 1:15 PM. Jury trial scheduled for 1-6-25 at 8:30 AM. Both hearings are in person. Parties ordered to file pretrial motions at least 30 days before the jury trial to be heard at the final pretrial hearing.
Trial in abstentia admonition given. State agrees to keep plea offer open.

 

Devin L Worker- 

Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 12/13/2024 at 10 AM.

 

 

 

 

Christian County Court Cases 10/03/24

Robert A Stivers- Defendant present in the custody of the Illinois Department of
Corrections with counsel and State's Attorney present. Status
hearing scheduled for 10-3-24 at 10 AM. Writ continued.State granted until 10/01/2024 to file a response to the amended petition for postconviction relief.
