Another night and another 20-point deficit for the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes who stormed back in the fourth quarter but couldn't overcome 11 three-point shots and a huge defensive effort from the Peoria Richwoods Lady Knights who beat Taylorville 66-59.  Taylorville cut the deficit to three but couldn't come out on top. Taylorville saw huge efforts from Addison Tarr and Mazie Fleming.  Jessi Wright was named Brandon Bible Country Financial player of the game for her two big three-pointers and a couple of free throws.  Taylorville was 2-2 in the tournament after picking up wins over Geneseo and Bloomington.  They suffered losses against Normal Community and Richwoods.  Taylorville's next game is on Tuesday at Williamsville. Taylorville finishes sixth in the State Farm Holiday Classic tournament out of 16 teams. 

The Taylorville Boys Basketball Team dropped the final match-up to The Jacksonville Crimsons 69-62. The Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the Game is Dillon Clark. Clark had 28 points in the game.

The Lady Tornadoes picked up a 69-46 win over the Bloomington Purple Raiders at Illinois Wesleyan University's Shirk Center on Friday afternoon.  Mazie Fleming was named Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game and Addison Tarr added 24 points.  Tornadoes play at 7 PM at Normal Community High School for the fifth place game out of 16 teams. 

The Tornado Boys Basketball Squad was defeated by the Galesburg Silver Streak with a score of 57-45. The Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the Game is Barron Odam. Odam amassed 11 points and 10 rebounds making for the team's first double double on the year. Taylorville looks to their second match tonight at 6:30 p.m. against Jacksonville for the final matchup in the Taylorville Holiday Tournament.

The Taylorville Boys Basketball Team fell to the Marion Wildcats 60-31. The Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the Game is Kade Beckmier.

The Taylorville Girls played in the State Farm Holiday Classic Champion Quarter Finals and fell 56-48 to the Normal Community Ironmen Girls Basketball team. Addison Tarr was named the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game.  Taylorville found themselves down 50-30 but a huge run from Taylorville in the fourth quarter cut the deficit down to four. Taylorville couldn't complete the comeback and fell short. They will play Bloomington at 12:30 tomorrow at the Illinois Wesleyan University Shirk Center.  If they win that game, they will play at 7 PM back at Normal Community High School Gym A for a chance at 5th place in the 16 seed tournament.  If they lose, they will play at 8 PM in the B Gym. The Taylorville Tornado Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated the Rochester Rockets with a score of 70-64. This win came in game two of the 12th Annual Peoples Bank and Trust Holiday Tournament at Dolph Stanley Court. The Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the Game goes to Dillon Clark. Clark had ice in his veins with one minute to play in the 4th quarter, cashing in from beyond the three-point line and pushing Taylorville to the victory. Dillon Clark finished the game with a team-leading 18 points.

The Taylorville Tornado Boys Basketball Team drops game one of the 12th Annual Taylorville Holiday Tournament to the Mt. Zion Braves 68-24. The Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the Game is Owen Yonker.

The Taylorville Boys Varsity Basketball squad was defeated by the Charleston Trojans 54-37. The Brandon Bible County Financial Player of the Game is Clark Durbin. Durbin had 31 points in the Junior Varsity game and struck on offense during the Varsity matchup as well.

As heard on 96.5 the chill the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes picked up their 10th victory of the season to improve to 10-1 with a 59-31 victory over the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs in Apollo Conference Play.  Kyleigh Heimsness was named the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game. Taylorville Girls have a break until December 27th when they play Geneseo in the State Farm Holiday Tournament in Bloomington.  We will have pregame for you around 11:45.

The Taylorville Lady Tornadoes put Mattoon to sleep on Pajama night as the Tornadoes used a huge first quarter to give themselves a 72-50 victory on the road against the Green Wave.  Addison Tarr was the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game, but there were heavy contributions from Aubrey Kietzman, Kyleigh Hiemsness, and of course Mazie Fleming.  The Tornadoes head to Pana on Thursday.  Pregame at 7:15.

The Lady Tornadoes came out on top 48-29 over the Pleasant Plains Cardinals in a non-conference matchup in Taylorville. The Tornadoes used 17 points from Addison Tarr to get things going.  She is the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game. The Tornadoes' next game is at Mattoon on Tuesday evening. 

The Lady Tornadoes of Taylorville handed Charleston a loss 70-26 on Friday night in Charleston.  Kyleigh Heimsness led the Tornadoes in scoring.  Megan Czajkowski was named the Brandon Bible Country Financial Agent Player of the game.  She finished with four 3-pointers. They play Pleasant Plains next at home on December 7th.
