The Taylorville Tornado Varsity Baseball team defeated the Unity Christian Lions 16-0 in 4 innings. Isacc Repscher was the starting pitcher, giving up zero runs in the four innings of work.

The Tornadoes, up 12-0 in the bottom of the third inning and brought in Senior, Judd Bates to pinch hit with the bases loaded. Bates hammered a grand slam over the right-field silver monster to finish off the Lion's hopes late in the contest.

The Tornadoes improve to 7-7 on the year and look to Friday, April 19th for a doubleheader, away at Mahomet Seymour. 

The Shelbyville Rams Varsity Baseball squad took a win in mercy rule fashion over the Central A&M Raiders 16-0.

An 11-run first inning, followed by a three-run home run off the bat of Chase Wells in the second the Shelbyville offense was stellar against the Raiders.

The win would not have been possible without 4 scoreless innings and multiple strikeouts from Starting Pitcher, Jack Arthur. 

The Rams will be back at home on Thursday, April 11th to play Vandalia.
