Taylorville Girls Finish Sixth In Holiday Tournament

Another night and another 20-point deficit for the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes who stormed back in the fourth quarter but couldn't overcome 11 three-point shots and a huge defensive effort from the Peoria Richwoods Lady Knights who beat Taylorville 66-59.  Taylorville cut the deficit to three but couldn't come out on top. Taylorville saw huge efforts from Addison Tarr and Mazie Fleming.  Jessi Wright was named Brandon Bible Country Financial player of the game for her two big three-pointers and a couple of free throws.  Taylorville was 2-2 in the tournament after picking up wins over Geneseo and Bloomington.  They suffered losses against Normal Community and Richwoods.  Taylorville's next game is on Tuesday at Williamsville. Taylorville finishes sixth in the State Farm Holiday Classic tournament out of 16 teams.
