Taylorville boys fell last night to Alton 56-36 in a ball game for THS where the final score did not necessarily represent the overall game play. THS head coach, Mark Hannant said after the game that this is game his team could have easily came away with but they hope to get another shot having Effingham in their Regional this year.

Shelbyville Rams were in action last night as well on their home floor for a Central Illinois Conference match up with Sullivan. The Rams took down Sullivan 55-50 in a close ball game.

Rams head coach Bob Herdes said that this Sullivan team was ready to play and this game was like a lot in the CIC, too close for comfort, regardless of what the scouting report says on paper.
