Coach of the Year Honorees Announced by Illinois Basketball Coaches Association

The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association has announced its six coach of the year lists.  These coaches will be honored at the Hall of Fame Banquet on May 4th at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal.  

 

IBCA High School Boys Coach of the Year honorees include Steve Kimbro, head coach of Nokomis High School; and Chester Reeder, head coach of Teutopolis High School.

 

IBCA High School Girls Coach of the Year honorees include Tom Dooley, head coach of Central A&M High School in Moweaqua; Andrea Dorsey, head coach of Saint Teresa High School in Decatur; Katie Lurkins, head coach of Altamont High School; head coach Sheri McCain, head coach of Sullivan High School; head coach Jeff Miller of Charleston High School; head coach Jeff Schafer of Effingham High School; Jason Storm, head coach of Pana High School; Laurie Thompson, head coach of Teutopolis High School; and Michael Williams, head coach of MacArthur High School in Decatur.

 

IBCA Junior High Boys Coach of the Year honorees include Kent Niebrugge, head coach of Teutopolis Junior High; and Jarrod Spencer, head coach of Rochester Junior High.  

 

IBCA Junior High Girls Coach of the Year honorees include Lindsay VanBlaricum, head coach at Altamont; Jeff Tonn, head coach of Effingham Junior High; Maria Tegeler, head coach of Teutopolis Junior High; Madelyn Gibson, head coach of Glenwood Middle School in Chatham; and Brandon Engelman, head coach of Nokomis Junior High.
