Miller Media Group along with Brandon Bible Country Financial announced the THS Player’s of the Year for both boys and girls basketball.  Dillon Clark and Addison Tarr were recognized as the Brandon Bible Country Financial Players of the Year.  Clark says it feels good, but there’s more to basketball than just awards. 

Addison Tarr says she couldn’t have done it without her teammates. Tarr, who came off a huge knee injury worked over the offseason to come back and be a leader on a Taylorville girl's basketball team that would go 10-0 in the Apollo Conference. 

Tarr says that as a whole it was a good season.

Clark says despite the high and low points of the season, they all believed in each other. 

Broadcasters Leroy Kleimola & Tim Zalabak presented the awards along with Brandon Bible.  Congratulations to both Tarr and Clark on their Player of the Year awards brought to you by Miller Media Group and Brandon Bible Country Financial.  

Taylorville High School has announced its 2024 Sports Hall of Fame inductees. THS has announced that Jim Achenbach, Zach Beaty, Amy Hughes, Howard Long, Nate Turner, and the 1968-69 Boys Basketball Team will be inducted on Saturday, April 27th, at 6:30 p.m. at the THS cafeteria.

There are a couple new record holders for the Track team. Liam Bettis set the new school record last night in the indoor 3200m run with a time of 9:54.97 and Owen Morgan set a new school record in the indoor 400m dash with a time of 52.96a.  We here at Regional Radio News salute you both Liam and Owen.
