The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting Tuesday at the Christian County Fairgrounds Office to mark the beginning of the 2026 Christian County Agricultural Fair. Miss Christian County cut the ribbon while accompanied by several key individuals from Christian County.
Those key individuals included Christian County Board President Bryan Sharp, Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp, Taylorville Mayor Bruce Barry, Christian County State's Attorney John McWard, and various members of supporting companies from throughout the community.
Supporting companies included Bob Riding’s of Taylorville, First National Bank of Taylorville, Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Springfield Clinic, and Grain and Protein Technology. Now that the ribbon is cut, the 2026 Christian County Agricultural Fair has officially begun and will run until Saturday, July 25th.
