Taylorville School District To Meet Remotely Monday Evening

The Taylorville School District will hold their monthly board of education meeting on Monday evening via remote. The virtual meeting will be held via Google Hangout. If you want the code, contact Julie Lebeane, District Secretary at jlebeane@tcusd3.org. The meeting will go over the distance learning grant, and the building trades house. With remote learning being at the forefront of discussion, trades classes are really hit hard by the new rules. The board will discuss the best way to handle those classes.

Under new business, the board will discuss as a whole how to best handle the suspension of in-person instruction for school closures, the best response, and a resolution for handling it. The board will also talk about a title grant from the federal government in response to COVID-19. The board will continue to look and work on the 2020-2021 schedules.

The meeting will finish with a Superintendent report, along with a possible executive session. As always stick to taylorvilledailynews.com for the latest on Taylorville School District and the decisions they have made as they continue to help our students be successful.
