Friday's "Media Concert for Hunger" broadcast on Miller Media Group radio station WMKR Genuine Country 94.3 in Taylorville, and on radio stations across Illinois, helped raise over one-point-2 million dollars for the state's food banks and food pantries.

The special ad-hoc radio network was organized by the Illinois Broadcasters Association, and Regional Media, an Illinois group of radio stations and digital platforms in northwest Illinois.

Monies raised will be distributed statewide based on zip code of the donors.  You can still watch the concert, which featured artist videos of country music as well as other genre's, and still donate, all at concertforhunger-dot-com.
