We are a little over seven months removed from the EF3 tornado that touched down in Christian County and made its way through Taylorville.

Bill Kerns with Missions for Taylorville says there is still a need for tornado relief efforts, he compares Taylorville to both Washington and Kincaid in terms of dealing with disaster.

Kerns says House in a Box is a faith-based group designed to help communities rebuild in terms of helping families get the essential items for a home.

Kerns says the new Chief of Police in Taylorville Dwayne Wheeler has been a helping hand with House in a Box. He was involved with them during the flooding in Kincaid.
