The Central Illinois Foodbank is giddy with excitement as they recently announced that they will be receiving a new grant worth over $50,000.
Public Relation Manager Ashley Earnest says this money will go along way in furthering their efforts at the Central Illinois Foodbank to fight hunger.
Earnest says applying and receiving this grant was a fairly quick process, and credit needs to be spread among the group that helped make this possible.
Earnest gets into the details of what this grant will be put towards, saying they are hoping to be more connected with local restaurants to stop food from going to waste.
Earnest appeared as a guest on the Newstalk WTIM Morning Show.
