A group of residents in Pana have been hard at work for almost a year in hopes of bringing a dog park to town. Among the group is Francis Schmitz, and she says the idea to add a dog park originated from her kids.

Schmitz says that not only will it add a place to let dogs exercise, but a place for people to socialize as well.

Schmitz says they hope to have the park done within a year.
