Last week the Illinois State Senate Signed a bill into law that will raise the minimum wage to $15 dollars an hour, it is currently being reviewed by the House of Representatives.

State Senator Andy Manar represents the 48th District of Illinois, he says this debate over minimum wage is nothing new it has been going on for years.

Manar explains why he believes the minimum wage will be raised stating that voters have wanted this for a while now.

Manar believes this bill will be signed officially into law but explains what the hold up could be if there is one.
