The Illinois State Treasurers Office wants to do everything it can to get your money back in its rightful hands.
Mike Frerichs is the State Treasurer of Illinois he says his office has been sending out checks recently with unclaimed cash in them, and are getting ready to send out the second wave soon.
It has taken a while for the Treasurers Office to get where they are now in terms of mailing out checks. Frerichs says this is in large part due to trying to find ways to send out all the checks they had to process.
