The Shelby County 4-H and Junior fair wrapped up on Wednesday after three days around good people, good food, and some good farm animals.
Jessica Winter is a 4-H retiree, after over 10 years in the program she tried everything but her passion was visual arts and showing horses.
Winter says one of the big differences she sees in 4-H kids compared to those who are not involved is discipline.
Winter says a big reason she got into 4-H is due to her aunt being a leader in 4-H. Winter also recommends that kids on the fence about whether or not to try 4-H give it a try, there’s no harm in trying.
Winter appeared as a guest on New Country 98.3 WSVZ live at the Shelby County 4-H and Junior Fair.
