The calendar still says its winter, but local students are in spring mode planting seeds and learning about plants thanks to the University of Illinois Extension.
Charlotte Schuricht is the Ag Literacy Program Coordinator at the Extension. She says it’s been a busy few weeks for her helping classrooms across the area.
Schuricht says the experiment she is working with students on truly shows the kids the power of seeds.
