Taylorville Kiwanis Featuring Guest Speaker from Russia on Thursday

 width=The Taylorville Kiwanis Club is moving its meeting date this week, from Tuesday, March 17th, to Thursday, March 19th, to accommodate guest speaker Svetlana Gorokhova from the All-Russia State Library. Also appearing at next week's meeting to introduce Gorokhova, will be the new Illinois Director of Tourism Cory Jobe.

Gorokhova has announced that her topic for her remarks to the Kiwanis Club will be entitled “Inside Russia Today” and will discuss such issues as President Putin, U-S-Russian Relations, and the role of Abraham Lincoln in both country's futures.

Guests are welcome to attend next Thursday's luncheon at noon at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium. Reservations are suggested by calling Kiwanis president Blain Cornwell at 824-2241.
