The Taylorville Kiwanis Club learned about several upcoming Kiwanis events, during their business meeting at Tuesday's weekly luncheon at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.
Committee chairs reported on upcoming activities to help children and youth in the Taylorville community and around the world.
Kiwanis members will be raising money on local street corners, September 19th and 20th, during their annual Peanut Days. The public receives a package of peanuts as a “thank you” for any monetary donation.
The local Kiwanis Club will hold their annual Installation and Awards Banquet at noon on Tuesday, September 30th. It will also celebrate the club's 60th anniversary.
And, the Taylorville Kiwanis Club will be participating in the Taylorville and Christian County 175th Anniversary Parade on October 4th. Charter members and this year's “Kiwanian of the Year” will be honored by riding in the parade.
