Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 4-16-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Caleb W. Alsbury, 31, of 1505 South Houston Street, Taylorville, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for methamphetamine precursor.

Nina A. Armstrong, 57, of 620 East Adams, Taylorville, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance.

Joseph W. Carey, 52, of 707 West Vine Street, Edinburg, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for manufacturing/delivery of cannabis.

Roger D. Moss, 63, of 414 East Franklin, Edinburg, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for manufacturing/delivery of cannabis.

Wesley A. Hobbs, 49, of 2235 North East Road, Rochester, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for manufacturing/delivery of cannabis.

Lorenzo C. Harper, 24, of 304 North Shumway, Taylorville, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance.

Dalton C. Daniels, 20, of 202 West South Fourth Street, Oconee, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for the manufacturing/delivery of cannabis.

Shane A. Rhodes, 32, of 811 East 1st Street, Pana, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for the production of cannabis.

Kathy L. Cooper, 47, of 508 North State Apt. B, Pana, was arrested April 15 on a warrant for the possession of a controlled substance.

Dotty M. Eppenger, 27, of 1523 West Elm Street, Taylorville, was arrested April 15 for residential burglary, resisting/obstructing a police officer, and aggravated battery to a police officer.

Alexander B. Shanks, 21, of 610 South Webster Street, Taylorville, was arrested April 15 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Nathan W. Moore, 31, of RR 1 Box 79, Oconee, was arrested April 15 on a bond forfeiture for the manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance.

Briar D. Samson, 19, of 901 East Stephenson Street, was arrested April 15 on a bond forfeiture for contempt of court.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On April 14 at 11:16pm, 911 radioed the Taylorville Police Department in reference to a male subject who came home and found a woman in his house and now was following her outside the residence on foot. While in route, the male subject told dispatch that the female was wearing tan or light gray pants and a black hooded sweatshirt and was walking towards Samuel Street through the yards. An officer located the female hiding behind a white truck at 917 Kenton Street and identified her as Dotty M. Eppenger, 27, of Taylorville. During the arrest Eppenger resisted and struck 2 officers. After placing her under arrest, Michael Redwine walked up and wanted to talk to officers. Eppenger was transported to Taylorville Police Department and later transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for an injury she sustained while resisting. Both were interviewed and Redwine was transported to Gas Light Motel and Eppenger was transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond for charges of residential burglary, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery.

On April 15 at 3:51pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and observed Briar D. Samson, 19, of Taylorville operating a motor vehicle. The officer knew Samson to have a valid Christian County warrant. The officer made contact with Samson and had dispatch run him through the Law Enforcement Data Agencies Data System which verified the warrant. Samson was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.

On April 10 at 9:53pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and observed Steven S. Durbin, 22, of Taylorville walking near Market and Walnut. The officer knew Durbin to have a valid Christian County warrant. Durbin was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.
