Taylorville School Board Hears About Budget Future

The Taylorville School Board met Monday night at North Elementary School. Superintendent Dr. Gregg Fuerstenau told the Board that when it comes to the budget, the State funding is the major factor:

Dr. Fuerstenau said if the proration drops to 35%, many extra-curricular activities would be cut and the schools may just be able to teach basic education courses.

 

The Taylorville School Board was presented with changes to the 2014-15 Discipline Code at their meeting Monday night. Taylorville High School Assistant Principal Matt Hutchison pointed out some of the changes:

The Board approved the changes unanimously.

 

The Board approved changes to the Taylorville High School 2014-15 Handbook. The Board was informed that the District has been awarded a FY2014 School District Library Program Grant in the amount of $1,937.25. The Board also approved to use the services of Lively, Mathias, Hooper and Noblet for the school district’s audit for the fiscal year ending June 20, 2015.
