Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 3-25-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Cory D. Virden, 31, of 1014 East 2nd Street, Pana, was arrested on March 25 for an out of state warrant.

Reynaldo Rodriguez, 20, of 411 Western Avenue, was arrested on March 25 on a warrant for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Carlie A. Davis, 18, of 72 East 1000 North Road, Morrisonville, was arrested on March 25 on a warrant for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Tyler J. Brandis, 20, of 809 Pauline Street, Taylorville, was arrested on March 25 on a warrant for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Nicholas A. Edwards, 32, of 304 South Curtis Street, Edinburg, was arrested on March 24 on a bond forfeiture for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robert C. Zahradka, 39, of 415 Grant Street, Pana, was arrested on March 24 on a warrant for violating an order of protection.


THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On March 22, Taylorville Police Department received a call in reference to a child custody and child exchange matter. Officers returned the call and advised the complainant, Thomas S. Lovelace, 49, of Taylorville to come to post to discuss the matter further. Following Lovelace's behavior and actions taken at post, Lovelace was placed under arrest for threatening a public official and resisting arrest. Lovelace was later released on a notice to appear in court.

On March 24, a Taylorville Police Department officer was patrolling East Esther Street and observed a blue GMC pick-up truck. The officer ran the vehicle's license plate thru the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. The return showed the owner, Wendy M. Chamness, 33, of Taylorville, was suspended. The officer stopped the vehicle on Route 48 just south of McAdams Street. The officer confirmed the driver was Chamness and placed her under arrest for driving suspended.

CRASHES:

On March 24, James C. Luetzow, 17, of Taylorville was traveling northbound on Cheney Street. Luetzow struck a parked trailer that was parked on the right side of the road. The trailer was pushed up into a driveway and struck a parked vehicle causing front driver's side door damage. Luetzow was issued a citation for obstructed windshield.

On March 20, Thomas L. Fitzpatrick, 37, of Pana and Dawn M. Walch, 46, of Taylorville were stopped in traffic. An unknown vehicle struck the rear end of Fitzpatrick pushing him into Walch. The vehicle left the scene without rendering information. Fitzpatrick later went to a hospital for treatment of injuries. No other injuries reported.
