Christian County Coroner Amy Calvert Winans has announced that preliminary autopsy results have been released for Mrs. Debra Patterson, who died last Saturday at the scene of the Rt. 104 traffic crash.   The autopsy showed that she died from multiple injuries due to the pickup truck collision. 

According to reports, the accident occurred when Mrs. Patterson’s Chevy truck crossed the center line on Route 104 near Kincaid, causing a head on collision with a Ford pick-up driven by 33 year old Christopher Norris of Taylorville.  Norris and a passenger were sent to the hospital  with non-life threatening injuries.  Mrs. Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene just before 10pm Saturday.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the incident.  The investigation is being handled by the  Illinois State Police.
